A few days past after I retrieved the proxies. We practiced fighting in hand to hand combat and our weapons against each other. I obviously won due to more experience. They all told me more about their past lives which is why I respected them. I didn't bother to tell them my background seeing as they probably read about the urban tale that stated Slenderman picked me up from the forest after my parents abandoned me. Even though it's been days since they joined, it still felt weird that Slenderman and I were living with more people. It used to be us two alone or on rare occasions, his brothers would visit.

We were informed earlier today that another creepypasta cracked and had been killing people for days now. As proxies, we were in charge to get him and convince him to join us. Slenderman provided us a blurry picture of him but informed us he had extremely pale skin and burnt off eyelids that gave him a ghostly appearance. He also carved a smile into his face with a knife. He is slim but fit at the same time with a height of around 5 to 6 feet. He consistently wears a pair of black skinny jeans with a white hooded sweatshirt that's stained blood from his victims.

Here I was leading the proxies through town we predicted he was going to attack. Toby kept asking questions which probably annoyed Masky. I couldn't help but smirk knowing what    Toby's role was going to be in this squad.

"How the hell are we supposed to find him in his town? Wouldn't it be a better idea to spread out so we could cover more?" Masky irritated suggested.

I rolled my eyes. "We don't know how strong he could be. Slenderman told us he's greatly feared and he's insane," I answered. As we were walking on the streets I noticed a figure with a white hood in front of us. They walked away from a house and proceeded to walk ahead from us.

"Hey you!" I screamed out. He turned around to look at us and immediately started to run away.

I ran towards him with the proxies behind me for what seemed like a minute. I was about to cross the street until I saw a bright light on my left side. Knowing well it was a car, I made sure not to freeze and continue to run to the other side. I looked in front and saw the figure getting away. The other proxies were still on the other sidewalk.

"He's getting away and it's all thanks to you guys," I frustratedly yelled. He was gone yet we began to run towards the direction he previously had run. We stopped when we saw 3 streets. Either he went on the sides to lose us or continued straight.

"Alright new plan," I murmured. "Hoodie you go on the left while Masky and Toby go on the right. I'll go straight," I commanded.

"Why do I have to be with him?" Masky complained.

I glared at him. "Now is not the time for you to question the head proxy," I warned him and soon started to run on my assigned street.

As I ran, I looked in every direction in front of me. From what I know Jeff could be hiding anywhere and wait until I passed by. This situation reminded me of my victims back in the forest. Many tried to use the hiding behind a tree, hold your breath, and wait for them to pass by method but in the end, I always found them. Maybe if I could pretend that I'm weak, I could use that as an advantage and outsmart him.

I was pulled back to reality when a figure came up behind me and pinned me to the tree. He placed his famous knife near my neck. I looked at his cold icy blue eyes and smirked. Although his looks were appalling, I was just glad I have finally caught him.

"Who are you and why was your petty gang trying to chase me sweet cheeks?" He wickedly smirked back at me. I couldn't help but cringe at the nickname he gave me.

"Look we're not going to do anything to you but give you an offer," I explained. "I'm Y/N L/N and I work for Slenderman. He wants to form a group of killers that will-"
