I went into my bedroom and looked at the clock. 6:45 PM. I decided I should go ahead and get ready. I went into my bathroom and pulled out my falt iron to straighten my long dark hair. Whenever it was straight it fell just above my hips. I decided to go with a middle part. I then put on some light foundation to cover up my freckles that I despised and I put some mascara through my lashes, elongating them. I then put my necklace on that was a simple number seven and threw on the emerald dress.

I looked at myself in the mirror and for the first time I felt really good about myself. It didn't take away the nervousness that lingered in my stomach, but at least I would make a nice physical first impression. I put on some plain black flats that would be hidden by the dress anyways, did I mention I also hate flats as much as I hate dresses? It's too cold for sandals, and I don't do heels.

I glanced at the clock that now said 7:30 PM and let out a sigh. I grabbed my black northface jacket and walked down stairs. Raymond is in the kitchen cooking dinner while my aunt is sorting through paper work holding the home phone on her shoulders. When I walked in she looked up at me with exciting eyes.

"Rose, i'll call you back." She hung up the phone,"Seven, you look jaw dropping!"

I smiled hating the attention.

"His parents are going to be so impressed."

I turned to see Raymond looking at me and he smiled,"You look good kid."

"Thanks old ass." I laughed forgetting my aunt was there. She shot me a disapproving look before straightening out my necklace.

"Please for the love of God do not talk like that around his parents."

"I wont." I promised as Raymond laughed behind her. Suddenly the doorbell chimmed alerting me that Monroe is here. I braced myself taking a deep breath to calm my anxiousness. I opened the door to Monroe standing there with black pants and a dark navy blue button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His jet black hair fell roughly around his face. He looked so good.

He looked me up and down with craving eyes before making eye contact with me. "You." He paused,"Look amazing."

I smiled, "So do you." He grabbed my hand and lead me to the car. Before he opened my door for me I caught him staring at me.

"What?" I laughed.

"I've just never seen you dress up before, you look royal." He smirked.

"You're so stupid no I do not." I said smiling.

"You do, and you don't believe me, but that's okay because I know." I climbed into the passenger seat brushing him off, but still found myself blushing. He then walked around the back of the car and sat in the drivers seat before starting up the car and driving down the road. It was a short five minute car ride considering he only lives a block or so away.

We pulled into the driveway of a huge sleek home surrounded by trees. A huge window overlapped one whole wall of the mansion reavealing bright lights and book shelves. The walk way was lit up with mini black lanterns leading up to the porch that completely wrapped around the home.

Monroe grabbed my hand as we walked up the walkway and the nervousness seemed to intensify.

"Your heart is beating so fast you know they'll notice right?" He laughed.

"Great now it's going to do it even faster."

"Calm down Seven I promise they're excited to meet you." He said before unlocking the door. When we walked in there was white marble flooring and all the walls were a bright white. There was a huge open bar towards the back of the room and next to it was a door that was shut. The living room had black sleek couches, the kind that looked like they were only there for decorational purposes. There is a glass coffee table that had two books on top of it. Two of the walls had very large black book cases standing up against them filled with thousands of books.
