I smiled at Brooklyn’s reply; she was just too caring when it came to me. I would be too. We had each other’s back, all the time. People call us twins because we were always together, and we would just smile at their comments. I remember the time, when me and Brooklyn were five years old, and a boy stole a piece of my play dough, and I started crying, Brooklyn went up to the boy and slapped him on the face, and he started crying. She got in so much trouble that day, from her parents and her teacher but she just smiled at me. That’s when I met Brooklyn. That’s when we became friends, best friends!
‘I’m ok, you don’t need to pick me up, it’s a long story, I’ll tell you tomorrow, hopefully!’
‘I’m so scared right now!, you didn’t kill anyone, did you?’ Brooklyn replied, on text,
‘Well, only twenty people, but that doesn’t mean I should be in the police station!’ I replied on text then inserted a smiley face at the end of the message.
‘Well, I’ve killed more, so you’re not the only one with the bloody hands!’
Her message made me laugh, in the waiting room; it did rather brighten up my mood. Brooklyn was there when times were low, whether she was there in person or messaging me, she knew how to make anyone smile.
“Eliza, it’s your turn for questioning, if you could make your way to the questioning room, please.” The receptionist asked, I nodded, and then messaged Brooklyn,
‘I’m up for questioning! Talk to you, later!’
I turned my phone off, then asked the women where the questioning room was. She gave me the directions and I walked off, I crossed my fingers tightly, walking towards the questioning room.
The wooden door was white and read, questioning room,
“This must be it,” I spoke to myself then entered the room, slowly,
“Eliza, please take a seat,” a man said, then took out a chair for me to sit on.
The man wore a light blue shirt and a black suit; he dressed in a normal, office uniform. He smiled at me, trying to make me feel warm and safe, though, it was not working. I sat on the seat. I looked around the room. The room was painted white, with nothing on the wall or any furniture apart from the table with two chairs.
The officer sat opposite of me, someone opened the door and opened the door. It was a police officer; he pushed an old, black TV, which stood on wheels making it easier to push the TV. He wheeled the T.V opposite me, so I could see the T.V clearly.
“Thank you, Sam”, the officer said, the officer nodded in response then walked towards the door, to exit the room. I looked at the T.V, wondering, what he was going to show me. Wouldn’t it be funny, if he showed me Mr Bean, on the T.V! However, the chances of that happening were 1%.
“Eliza, I want to show a CCTV clip of what happened in h and m, please can you tell me what happened, your side of the story,” the officer spoke, I nodded, then he clicked the play button, the T.V flashed open and played the clip.
The video showed the monster gripping onto my arm, and me crying in pain, struggling to get free from him, my David and Goliath bag, still in my hand. I was screaming, and there was no one around us, then I punched the man, but he just laughed. There was no sound on this clip, but I could tell by his expression. Then behind us, Matt, was standing there, his face shocked on what he had just seen, the monster turned around to see Matt, his hand still clutched onto me, I was clearly crying, in pain. Matt shouted something at the ma, and then went for the punch, the punch was what made me gasp. The officer looked at me, to see my expression, but my eyes were glued onto the screen. The man, instantly fell to the ground, knocked out. Matt wet over, picked the monster up then punched him, on the face. Then I ran over to Matt, and tried to pull him away from the Matt. I then ran to face Matt, and said something, which made Matt stop then look at me, with sorrow. Matt let go of the unconscious man, then said something to me. A huge crowd, gathered around us, I could see the people’s expression, shocked about what had just happened. I started crying and shouted at the crowd, then about ten people, took their cell phones out and I guess they were dialling the ambulance.
