-Chapter Thirty Two-

word count-212

The walk back to Vinny's house was quiet, nothing but the sounds of cars and footsteps. Vinny glanced over at [name] who seemed to be having a hard time walking.

"Want to take a break? You look like you're struggling."

Vinny asked, though there was no response. It was quite obvious that [name] wanted to take a break. Squatting down, [name] held her arms around her stomach, trying to ease the uncomfortable pain.

Vinny sighed, his breath making a puff of cold air. His eyes wandered down towards the gray cement, kicking a lone pebble in his line of view off towards the road.

"...do you want me to carry you? It'll be faster than you trying to walk on your own."

he said, taking a subtle glance at [name]'s crouched down form. [name] sat there crouched down, again there was no reply but the nod from her head was a good enough answer for Vinny.

Vinny squatted down, waiting for [name] to get on his back. Vinny stood up as soon as he felt the heavy pressure on his back.

Trudging home down the street road, the sound of cars driving past lulled [name] to sleep.

"she's heavy" was the only thought vinny had.
