14/03/17, Thursday, 7.00 a.m.

Every students entered their class as Minhee sat alone on her chair. Today, she will be having an examination. She never get nervous for this thing because she will surely get the first place.

Ding!

Mr. Totoro:
Good luck on your exam.

You:
Thx.

The teacher entered the classroom with a stack of papers. She placed it on the teacher's desk. Soon, the exam started.

As Minhee answering the paper, she felt a poke behind her. She slowly turned backwards, careful not to make the teacher notice. She saw a boy wearing a white mask in a sky blue hoodie. He was holding a piece of torn paper at her. Minhee hesitated at first but took it.

Anyeong~ I'm Joe. Can I be your friend?
You seem lonely these days.

Minhee scribbled on the paper and gave it back to the boy.

No thanks.

The boy named Joe pouted at her reply. He glanced at her back before continue to answer his paper.

Minhee shuts her locker, ready to leave. But she was stopped by a voice.

"Minhee!"

She turned to see the boy earlier, Joe. He is running towards her.

"Are you free right now?"

He panted.

"No, I'm not."

"Oh, really? I was planning to hang out with you."

"Excuse me?"

"I want to be your friend, Minhee."

"And why?"

"Because I want to?"

"I won't treat you as a friend, y'know."

"That's fine, at least I can be closer to you."

Minhee stared at him blankly, before sighing. Joe looked at her nervously.

"I'm only free on weekends."

Minhee walked away leaving Joe. The boy widened his eyes.

"That means I can be you friend?!"

Minhee didn't reply and walked away. Joe covered his mouth from gasping too loud.
The sight of Minhee disappeared as she exited the school.

Joe felt a slight heat crept up to his face. He lowered his head, still covering his mouth.

"How can someone be so intimidatingly  beautiful?"

He mumbled with a pink face.

Then, a shy smile curved on his lips.

He finally have a friend.
