"This snow is letting up," Jimin announced to the blond-haired alpha as he peered through the curtains and out the window. This had Taehyung looking through the glass as well, noticing how the snow was no longer falling down so heavily.

He nodded, pulling his face away and closing the curtains as he looked over his shoulder. Everyone was shivering under their blankets, their breath coming out in white clouds as the temperature inside the house continued to drop.

"Do you want some of us to go out and grab some firewood?" The beta questioned as he grabbed his gloves, not waiting for an answer as he slipped them onto his small hands.

However, he was stopped when Taehyung shook his head at him, stopping the boy from putting on his winter clothes any further. "Actually, I got it. You stay here and watch over everyone," He told him before walking away and up the stairs.

He had been thinking a lot about what Jimin had said to him, and it was about time someone had called him out on how he has been reacting to this whole situation. He had let his own anger and the feeling of betrayal cloud his judgment.

He had come to the realization he shouldn't have done that, and if it weren't for Jimin, he still would be in his own pool of resentment towards the young alpha. He wanted to change that, realizing that Jungkook hadn't had any part in what had happened.

As he climbed the stairs, he glanced over to Jimin, who wasn't paying any attention to him as he spoke with Hoseok and Yoongi. He shook his head as he reached the final step, walking down the hallway and soon standing right outside Jungkook's bedroom door.

His knuckles met the hard surface in a soft knock. He carefully listened to see if he could hear anything from the other side of the door. He heard faint shuffling and muffled mumbling before the door opened and revealed Jungkook.

The boy had froze at the door when he saw who it was, unsure of what to say or do. The first thing that came to his mind was Taehyung was only here to yell or criticize him, make him feel small and blame him for everything that happened.

He was tempted to just shut the door in his face so he didn't have to listen to it. He almost did it if it weren't for Taehyung scratching the back of his neck awkwardly as he glanced down the hallway to avoid making eye contact with the boy.

"The snow let up some, and I was wondering if you could help me bring in some more firewood?" He asked, and this had caught the boy off guard. He wasn't expecting Taehyung to come up and ask him this, more like expecting him to yell and make him feel bad about everything.

He was in a trance as he tried to wrap his head around what happened, still not believing this was his sole reason to come up here and talk to him. Still a little skeptical, he just slowly nodded as he cleared his throat, "Uh . . . Yeah. Just let me grab my coat and I'll meet you down there."

Before Taehyung could respond, the door closed in his face as Jungkook pressed his back against it, nervously releasing a puff of breath he didn't know he had been holding. He shook his head before he searched for his coat, pulling it on and zipping it up to his chin.

He grabbed his gloves and beanie, putting them on before he opened the door and saw where Taehyung was standing was empty. He assumed the alpha was downstairs like he had said he meet him at. When he reached the stairs, he saw him standing down there with his hands in his coat pockets and eyes watching over the pack in the living room.

He descended the stairs and reached the bottom before he knew it, tugging on his gloves nervously, only doing it so he had something to do. He cleared his throat which grabbed Taehyung's attention as he gazed down at the boy.
