Jungkook had been at his old home for a few hours now, watching as the sun was beginning to go down and slowly tint the sky a beautiful orange hue. He had been left alone and decided not to answer his phone since he needed some space to himself.

Taehyung had left him alone, their silence speaking volumes as the alpha left the boy be. There wasn't much Taehyung could do. All he was really thinking about was saving the pack and protecting the ones he loved and cared for.

He wished Jungkook understood that and would hop on board with the plan, but the boy's head and insecurities were getting the best of him, hence why he was so resistant towards the end. It didn't seem to matter because Taehyung was already had the plan set in stone and wasn't going to change it.

Jungkook needed to understand that, and after a long time of being by himself, alone with his thoughts and thinking them through, as he examined his feelings, he understood where Taehyung was coming from and decided to trust him nothing would go wrong.

When he had glanced out the window in the kitchen, he realized the sun was setting faster than he anticipated. He gathered his phone after checking to see a few messages from Taehyung and the others, a little worried about where he was and why he wasn't home yet.

Deciding not to answer, he shoved his phone into his pocket and exited the house, closing the door behind him and stepping into the harsh winter weather. He glanced up and saw the sun slowly lowering in the sky, hiding behind naked trees and shining brightly in his eyes.

He didn't stay long to admire it, though, wanting to get back home as quickly as possible without anyone growing any more worried than they already were.

The sun was lowering faster and faster, and it felt like his time was running out. He could feel the temperature lowering as the sun began to slowly disappear behind the horizon, his breath seen as he panted from climbing the large hill.

Walking through the woods at this time of night was never a good idea, and now Jungkook was cursing at himself for not leaving sooner so he was back home by now. He had forgotten to grab a jacket to protect him from the cold, the temperature dropping drastically.

Leaves and sticks crunched and snapped under his feet with each step, arms wrapped around himself to keep in some of the body heat that was slowly leaving him. He was shivering by the time he was halfway home, glancing around him to see where he was and how far he had.

It was pitch black by the time he was a little over halfway home, and it was a little harder to see. He glanced around him every now and then when he heard a strange noise, only for it to belong to another animal like a deer or squirrel or even a bird.

He was walking along a dirt path that was formed a few years ago that led to Midnight Rose's territory, making it a little easier to walk on so he wasn't tripping over fallen over trees or vines that were growing on the ground.

His breath came in white puffs with each exhale, eyes on the ground as he watched his footing. A sudden snap of what he assumed was a twig had him halting where he stood, quickly looking over his shoulder and around him to see what it could've been.

His eyes scanned his surroundings, looking in the direction of where the sudden noise had come from, but only to find nothing. Not a single soul was around and Jungkook was now paranoid and alone in the forest, with no one to help protect him if he were in danger.

Should've left with the others. That's all he kept thinking to himself, cursing at himself for not doing so so he knew he would make it back home safe and not fearing he was being watched and followed.

He could feel eyes on him, and that only added on to the paranoia that was surging through his body. He kept his eyes in the direction just in case if something were to magically pop up and tell him what he should be feeling right now.
