(The fourth movement of Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" begins to play. The PRINCE OF WALES is shown going into various homes and establishments. He first attends a classy dinner party at the home of MRS. CREWE.)

PRINCE OF WALES

To buff and blue, and Mrs. Crewe!

MRS. CREWE

To buff and blue, and all of you!

(A little tipsy, he is helped into his carriage and goes to the next party, this one rowdier than the last. He engages in drinking and dancing with his non-Whig friends, and then leaves drunker than when he came in. The parties get rowdier as the night goes on. He eventually goes back to his carriage with a less drunk lady who supports him. It drives off into the night. Cut to SCENE V.)
