TWENTY TWO: So Bad

When you got a chance to do the one thing that you really wanted to do, grab that chance. Grab that and put in mind that it's your only chance so you need to make sure that it will not be put to waste. Or else, you'll regret it.

"The last time you went here, you asked for the hardest liquor we have. But now, you're asking for a juice? Wow!" Natatawa at di makapaniwalang tanong ni Jett. Talagang umiiling-iling pa siya.

I just smiled at him. Mula sakanya, inilipat ko ang tingin ko sa babae na nakaupo sa gilid ko. She's scanning the place so I just stared at her. Staring at her and her beautiful face will never be tiring and boring for me. Never.

I love how she bats her eyelashes that suited her brown eyes although they were a little bit small. She got that small face that probably came from her Chinese lineage. But what I love the most is her cherry lips. I can't wait to taste those lips.

Pero hindi ako nagmamadali. I promised her that we'll follow her pace and take everything slow. I don't want to scare her! She's not just like those girls I've flirted before.

Malayong-malayo siya sa mga babae na iyon.

"One pineapple juice and tea for the lovely couple in front of me." Naagaw noon ang atensyon ni Eunice. She smiled and I just shook my head in disbelief.

I can't blame Jett. Dahil totoo naman ang sinabi niya kanina. Last time I went here I ordered the hardest liquor because I wanted to get drunk that time. Dahil selos na selos ako sa gagong Thunder na 'yon!

But this time, it's different.

"How's the place?" I asked her while a mellow music was playing as our background.

"I love it! It's cozy and cool. I like the ambiance of the place." She answered and roamed her eyes at the place once again.

Knowing that she loves the place made me happy. But I don't have any plans on telling her that I am one of the owner of this place. Again, I want it low-key. Hindi naman kailangang ipagkalat ang mga bagay-bagay.

Tuesday ngayon and every Tuesday, acoustic band ang nagpe-perform dito. And I have something up my sleeves for her. I can't wait to do it. Tinignan ko ang relo ko at ilang minuto pa, oras na para sa plano ko.

We had dinner first at the second floor of the bistro. I pulled a chair for her and she thanked me for doing that. Ngiti lang ang isinagot ko. Alam ko naman na sapat na ang ngiti ko para sakanya.

All I can do is to smile because she never failed to make me speechless.

"Oh my gosh!"

Ang maliit niyang mga mata ay nanlaki at namilog. Kasabay noon ang paglipad ng kamay niya sa bibig niya para takpan ang bibig. She's surprised. Just like I wanted to be. Hindi ko mapigilan na hindi ngumiti dahil sa reaction niya. It made me happy seeing how happy she is right now.

Nasa harapan niya ngayon ang paborito niyang banda, and B4 DAWN.

"Good evening everyone!" Bati nung lead vocalist ng banda at nag ingay ang mga kanina ay tahimik na mga tao. At kasama doon si Eunice na hindi pa rin makapaniwala hanggang ngayon.

Actually, hindi nag pe-perform dito ang banda na 'to. But I over heard Eunice and Trisha talking about this band and how they like it. So I got this idea of having the band perform at the bistro. Originally, I planned it to be exclusive only for Eunice and me. Pero baka hindi niya magustuhan. Iba pa rin kasi ang vibe kapag maraming tao na nanunuod. Kaya naman ginawa ko ng public.

Nakuntento ako na panoorin si Eunice na kinukuhaan ng picture ang apat na miyembro ng banda habang nag hahanda sila. I never saw her this happy before. Siguro kasi, wala naman sakanya ang atensyon ko. Pero ngayon na nasa kanya niya, all I want for her is to be happy.

Kahit ano gagawin ko basta maging masaya lang siya.

"It's great to be in this well-known bistro in town. So let us thank the management for inviting us to perform here! Maraming salamat po." Everyone clapped including the four of them.

I admit, magaling sila. Nag sisimula palang silang sumikat dahil sa mga cover songs nila. Pero walang duda that in no time, they will be having their own songs. At kapag nangyari iyon, mas lalo silang sisikat.

"And to start this evening, our first song will be ILYSB of LANY. Hope you'll like our version. And by the way...this song is for Ms. Eunice Grace Tan." Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Eunice dahil sa sinabi nung bokalista. Agad siyang tumingin sakin habang turo-turo ang sarili niya.

"Enjoy the night." Bulong ko sakanya.

Nakakapanibago sa pakiramdam ang ganito kami ni Eunice. I never felt this way before towards her. Yung attracted. Yung grabe ang tibok ng puso ko kapag nakikita siya. Kapag ngumingiti siya. At hindi ako kuntento kaya naman gusto ko na mag simula kami ulit.

At ito na iyon. I'll make her stay with me. Kung kinakailangan mag bago ako at tigilan ang pagiging gago, gagawin ko. I'll do anything for her.

Because I know and I want her to know too that she is and she will be my only one.

Corny man pakinggan pero mukhang ito na nga yung tinatawag nilang pag-ibig. I know I'm already in love with Eunice. The fact that I can't get her out of my system already, that's enough reason para masabi ko na mahal ko na siya.

I never felt this way before. Kahit sa kaninong babae. What I've felt for them was lust. I'm sure of that.

Pero ngayon, seryoso na ako. Ayaw ko na makitang umiiyak si Eunice. Ang gusto ko lang ay lagi siyang masaya. Paggising ko sa umaga, gusto ko na siya agad makita. Bago ako matulog, siya rin ang gusto ko makita bago pumikit ang mga mata ko. At kapag kaharap ko na siya, nag wawala ang puso ko.

Yes, I am in love with Eunice.

"Did you enjoy this night?" I asked her while I'm driving. I took a glance of her at sakto naman na tumingin din siya sa akin. Nginitian niya ako.

Kahit di siya sumagot, sa ngiti palang niya alam ko na ang sagot sa tanong ko. Sobra pa ang ngiti niya para maging sagot.

She's happy.

"One of the best nights of my life." Sagot niya. Ngayon ako naman ang napangiti. Ang sarap sa tenga at sa pakiramdam na marinig yun mula sakanya.

"I'm happy to know that." Saad ko. Iba din pala ang pakiramdam na napasaya mo yung taong gusto mo. Na worth it yung effort mo. Kasi kung gaano siya kasaya, triple nung saya niya ang saya na nararamdaman ko ngayon.

"Thank you for this night. Good night!"

My body froze and my jaw dropped with what just happened. It took me a minute before I could move and smile. I went inside my car with a wide smile plastered on my face.

Eunice kissed me then she ran towards the main door of their mansion.
