FORTY ONE: First Step

Kung pwede lang na hindi matapos ang araw na 'to, mas gusto ko 'yon. Kaso palagi naman na may katapusan. But as much as I don't want this day to end, I can't help it.

Gusto ko pang mag-stay dito sa lugar na 'to. Ayaw ko pang bumalik ng Manila, kaso hindi pwede. Doon ako nakatira, at doon ako nag-aaral. Nasa Manila ang buhay ko.

But still, it was a great experience. Being here made me feel better. 'Di ako 100% okay, pero okay na ako. Mas okay kesa kahapon!

At least, I've made some progress in just a short span of time. Thanks to this place! And of course, many thanks to the man who's waiting for me. He's leaning his back on his car and busy doing something with his phone.

Thunder. Thunder played a great role, as always. Darating siya tuwing kailangan ko ng taong masasandalan. Palagi siyang handa na makinig sa akin at panoorin ako na ubusin ko ang luha ko kakaiyak. Minsan nga nagtataka na ako.

Bakit palaging tama ang timing niya? Maybe, coincidence lang.

"Give me that." Napansin na niya ako kaya lumapit siya para kuhain ang bag na dala-dala ko.

Bakit napaka-gentleman niya?

I handed him my bag. Pinanood ko lang siya na ilagay iyon sa back seat, and I can't help but to smile. Swerte ang magiging girlfriend ng lalaki na 'to. No doubt about that.

Total package na siya. Wala ka ng iba pang hahanapin dahil na sakanya na ang lahat.

Name every characteristic that a woman's looking for a guy and he has those. I am sure of it.

"Ready for a long drive?" He asked once he settled in the driver's seat. Nakangiti siya sa akin. Yung ngiti na ito, nakakatakot.

Nakakatakot kasi ito yung tipo ng ngiti na kayang magpahulog sa babae. At sa panty niya!

His killer smile will make your heart leap and your legs jelly. I wonder how many girls fell for this smile?

"I should be the one asking you that. Ikaw kaya ang magda-drive." I grinned.

Six p.m na kaya kailangan na naming umalis. Gagabihin kami sa kalsada at sana hindi traffic. Sa SLEX siguro hindi, pero pag dating sa Manila, for sure oo.

That's why I asked one of his employee to ask the hotel's chef to prepare some snack. In case kasi na magutom siya, o kami, at least may food kami na ready. Hindi na namin kakailanganin pa na mag-drive thru.

"I don't mind driving for miles, as long as you're the one who's sitting beside me." Kinindatan niya ako.

And I didn't see that coming. That stunned me and now I'm lost for words. Gosh! Out of words to say, I just smiled at him.

I am not used to hear such lines from him. And it feels weird. Parang kinikiliti ako na ewan!

He revved the engine and we hit the road, with LANY's Pink Skies playing.

"Ilan na naging girlfriend mo?" Tanong ko sakanya matapos kong lunukin ang kinagat kong tuna sandwich.

I know that was so random but I've been itching to ask him that. Curious lang ako!

"Ikaw palang in case you say yes to me." Bigla akong naubo dahil sa sagot niya. He slowed down and handed me the bottled water after opening its cap.

"You okay?" I am. But I was caught off guard again. Ano ba 'tong si Thunder!

I nod and wiped the excess water on my lips. Nagulat nanaman ako sa sagot niya! He really knows how to insert his lines. Kainis!

Sana man lang inaabisuhan niya ako bago niya bitawan yung mga linya niya! Nakakagulat eh!
