Chapter 3

In the kingdom, inside of the castle, Christopher was sitting with his son.

"Dad?"

"Yes, son?"

"Did you know that Mom agreed with us going with Cameron into town?" The boy looked up at his father.

I really did not want to go. Cameron thought.

"What are you so excited about, Cameron?"

"It's a secret, Dad. Mom only knows." Cameron said with a smile.

"Why does your mom only know?" Christopher asked,

"Because we had a deal that we couldn't tell you." Cameron giggled.

"Well, you're going to tell me anyways, why not now?"

"How about this...I'll tell you what it is after it happens."

"Okay fine."

"Okay, I'll see you later!"

"Have fun I guess." Christopher frowned a bit as son left him.

Cameron got into the carriage and smiled a bit. Some of the townspeople waved at him and he waved back.

Cameron saw the carriage was going towards the forest and he smiled even more.

When the carriage finally stopped, Cameron jumped out before the coachman could move.

"I'm sorry Kasey, I'm just so excited."

"I can see that, I'll be waiting here." The older man said.

"Yes, thank you!" Cameron ran off into the grassland and home of the trees.

"Really, Nathaniel?" Xander asked his mate.

"It'll be okay, Xander. Just let them be for the day."

"T- You know what, whatever." Xander grunted, before storming off.

I just want to protect them.

Nathaniel watched his husband leave.

It'll be okay.

"Now go on now." Nathaniel told his kids while Blaze stood nearby.

Xavier was not happy at all. Blaze took notice of it.

"Do you want me to go with you?" Blaze asked with a lowered voice.

"Please." Xavier was about to beg.

Blaze smiled and ran off to ask his parents.

Once Blaze received permission, the four teenagers got in the carriage as it was headed back to the town.

"I'm so happy!" Nya smiled so big,

"I know, I am too." Cameron said.

"What do you want to do first?" Blaze asked as he and his best friend looked out at the city.

"I dunno, eat, I guess." Xander whispered to Blaze.

"Then, I shall take you to the bakery." Cameron said, smiling at Nya's brother.

Xavier hadn't meant for Cameron to hear him.

"Whatever." Xavier rolled his eyes.

Back in the forest, Blade had gone to find Xander.

"Blaze went with them." Blade said, trying to get his best friend to calm down.

"I'm still worried." Xander said, looking at the ground.

"Yes, I know but Blaze will get your children out of the situation. He will protect them no matter what." Blade got closer and put his hand on Xander's shoulder.

Nathaniel turned into his dragon form and flew off. He landed within the mountains. Other dragons came and looked at him.

"Nathaniel? How are you?"

"I'm fine, I just wanted to stop by..for advice."

"You? Advice? One of the strongest and smartest of us asks for advice?"

"Oh please don't start."
