The Half to my Whole

Chapter 29

 "I hope you like road trips." I grin.

She nods, her smile wider than before and put on her helmet, with me helping  her and once I locked it in place then put on mine and hop on my bike, with her following and wrapped her arms around my waist as I felt her cheek rest on my back that made me bit back a smile.

        "Oh my god! That was amazing!" Jennie giggles as I removed her helmet.

I grin, "I know, that's why I prefer the bike over the car even though a car is significantly much safer but hey, you only live once so we gotta make the best of it and before we resume our road trip, let's eat first. Let's go"

She agrees and puts on her mask then grasped my hand, intertwining it. I began to walk slowly to match her pace and even though she wears a mask. I could tell she was smiling which made me smile myself. Once we stepped inside the restaurant, a waiter immediately greeted us,

"Good evening Sir and Madame, a table for 2?" he inquired politely.

I grabbed my I.D from my wallet and showed it to him which caused him to nod understandably.

"Oh, yes of course. Sir. Leo we were expecting you, the boss had already informed us. Please follow me?" the waiter replied and began to walk away.

Jennie looked at me, her brows raised, "Didn't know you know someone in Korea other than us."

I smirked, "You have tons of things you don't know about me Jen and the same could be told to you, that's the purpose of going out right? To know and learn about each other."

"True." 

And with that we followed the waiter and led us to a private room. It was cozy and at the same time elegant. The huge windows allowed the moonlight to seep in and illuminate the room, adding a mystical yet serene vibe to it. We took a seat and the waiter handed us the menu for us to choose from.

"I'll have whatever you have Jen." I grin and in response she rolls her eyes playfully.

She looks at the waiter, "We'll both have a four cheese pasta and an iced tea please and a milk ice cream for dessert."

The waiter nods and takes the menus from us and walked out of the room, leaving me and Jennie for our much desired part of our date, talking and getting to know each other. We both promised to talk about our past relationships.

"So while waiting, you go on first Leo." she said, her eyes are twinkling and brighter because of the moonlight reflecting it.

"Okay...."

Manila, Philippines

9:30 AM    

          "Seriously Leo, why can't you admit it to yourself already? You're attracted to Kyla and there's nothing wrong with it!" Ace exasperated.

We had this continuous talk about Kyla and it has been 3 months already since that chimp, Caleb had started courting her and the smurf doesn't seem like she minded and our 'friendly relationship' hasn't progressed one bit, I'd say it became much worse. God, I have to stay patient, just a couple more months and I could finally get out of here and go back to Thailand. I could be free again. But Ace has been bugging me that I have feelings for the smurf and that I shouldn't be stubborn and make peace with her then ask her out.

Like hell.

"Come on, Leo. Kyla definitely feels the same for you too! Look," he then indiscreetly pointed his finger to a direction which my eyes followed which landed to the face of Kyla who was looking at us then immediately looked away when our eyes met.
