Chapter 17

Leo's P.O.V

Seoul, South Korea

5:00 AM

       "And done..." I said and sighed in relief as I zipped my suitcase. My phone rang, signaling that someone was calling. I accepted it, not even looking at the caller.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Good morning." I immediately smiled at the familiar voice that greeted my ears.

"What did I do to have this honor of speaking to the one and only Jennie Kim?" I teased.

I heard her scoff causing me to chuckle and shake my head in amusement, "Yeah right Manoban, are you done packing?" 

She still refers to me as Manoban rather than Bruschweiler. 

"You still have a week to spare in Korea for you to tour, that's the purpose you had 3 weeks, the company was kind enough to give you a week of vacation in Korea and then go back in Thailand afterwards and yet you're going to the Philippines."

 I can almost see the pout displayed on her luscious lips when she said that, making me grin from ear to ear.

I laughed slightly, "Oh come on Ms. Kim, we talked about this. I wanna talk more about the hickeys you managed to hide." I teased, the events that happened days ago replayed in my head, my grin turning into a smirk.

"You idiot!" she suddenly yelled, making me turn away from my phone and cover my ear with my other hand, "We were nearly caught during the event, good thing it was still red and I managed to convince my manager that it was a mosquito bite and had to cover it up with makeup afterwards!"

"I'm sorry, I'd control myself next time." I cooed, yet teasingly. 

Yeah, I wouldn't trust myself that I won't do that again, that'd be freaking difficult if your hormones are too strong. But I won't tell Jennie that or else I would be dead meat. Something about this cat-eyed woman makes me lose all my self control and believe me if I say this doesn't happen to me before, I am always in control. My rationality and all sense of logic just gets thrown off the window when it comes to this woman. Am I whipped? I don't know, usually I'd take take it slow, I don't want to rush things but it is the exact opposite when it comes to Jennie freaking Kim. I want to rush things, I want to be with her all the time, I want to feel her skin against mine, intertwine our hands, kiss her, hug her...

I snapped out of my trance when I heard her snap, "Did you hear me Leo!?" 

"Uhh...Yeah" I lied.

"Liar, you didn't hear it didn't you?"  she asked sharply, I just chuckled nervously in response and heard her sigh.

"Ugh whatever, I gotta go. I've got to feed Kuma and Kai since we have to leave after 30 minutes and by the way, call your sister okay? See you, text me when you've arrived." 

"Okay, stay safe and I will." I replied nonchalantly and ended the call. 

I dialed my sister and after a few rings, she finally answered.

"Hey..." she groggily greeted. 

"Hey good morning, I'm guessing you just woke up?"

"Yep, Jennie pushed me out of my bed, she's so aggressive sometimes." she complains, making me chuckle. Oh I know how aggressive she can be. 

"Are you gonna go now?" she asked.

"Yeah, I'm just calling to fill you in." I answered. 

"Okay, I was hoping you would hit it off with Jennie after you know...with Kai." 

My eyebrows furrow, and something inside me clench with...jealousy. Of course the ex, how can I forget?  We didn't tell my sister or any of the girls about us until we make sure about our feelings.

"What are you talking about sis?" I asked, failing to suppress the bitterness in my voice.

"Why so cold? Do you really hate the idea being with Jennie? She's really nice you know, she can be quite intimidating outside but she's a baby on the inside."  she said. I know she's pouting when she said that, and what I'm feeling about Jennie is the opposite of what you said Lili.

 I sighed, "I've got to go Lili, I'll message you later when I land." I said and ended the call before she can even reply.

I grabbed my suitcase and left.

Incheon Airport, Seoul, South Korea

5:40 AM

       "Do you have everything?" Chai asked and I nod in response and gave him a salute.

"Yes sir." I answered sternly, pretending to be an army, earning a raised eyebrow from Chai. I laughed, "Okay I got to go, my flight is here. I'll text you and my parents later." I said and he nods and was about to turn around to leave, but I quickly stopped him with a hug, he stiffened for a moment but returned back the hug and I pulled away grinning.

"See you around Chai." I said and started to walk away as I went inside the lobby, meeting with Alexis who was wearing an off-shoulder shirt and a high-waisted jeans, partnered with up with heels.

She quickly gave me a hug, returning it before pulling away, a bright wide smile displayed on her mouth. "You ready to go back lil' lion?" she asked enthusiastically.

 "Yep." I said, popping the 'p'. 

Time to go back.

 NAIA Airport, Manila, Philippines

9:00 AM

     Finally, after a 3 hour flight, we finally arrived. Manila, nostalgia immediately hit me. I haven't been here in months, I only visited Philippines because of work a few months ago so I didn't felt like I was really back. I was only here for a day anyway and I had to go back to Thailand afterwards, but this time I am truly here. It feels like I was gone for more than 2 years.

"So how's the polluted Philippine air after a long time?" Alexis asked playfully.

I grinned, "Still the same, a bit more polluted than the last time I've been here I guess." I answered, grinning making her chuckle, "Let's go get our luggage, Ma and Pa is waiting for us outside.", I nodded in agreement.

 "Ma and Pa~!!!" Alexis squealed as she ran towards her parents and squeeze them into a tight hug, making me and her parents chuckle. She released them after a few seconds, getting out of their vision for them to see me.

Her mother's eyes welled up as she sees me, and her father giving me a big smile as I make my way towards them, engulfing them in a hug which they immediately give back.

"I missed you guys." I said as I pulled away. I wiped a tear that swelled from Ma's eyes, "Don't cry Ma, I'm sorry I haven't kept in touch, I just had to leave, I..." I stopped, when Ma put her finger on my lip. She gave me her familiar bright smile that I greatly missed.

 "I understand baby, I really do. We missed you too and welcome back.", I smiled and gave her another hug her before pulling away and faced the man beside her. He welcomed me with his signature grin, making me laugh and hugged him again and pulled away.

 "Welcome back Lion." he said.

 " Thanks Pa." I answered, my smile never leaving my face.

"Welcome back lil' lion." Alexis intercepted, grinning. 

"I'm back."
