Varian lay unconscious. His power remained, but set didn't.
Cassandra could do nothing but watch. She had nearlly killed the demon twice, and he really did care? He really did..love?
Adira slipped away, with a smile on her face. She died watching a demon die for love. She had ways said it, and now people would of believed her.
She had died in Lances arms.
Tears streaming down his face, he set her to the ground. And closed her eyes. Kiera walked over and put a hand on lances arm, smiling kindly.
"It will be ok, shes in a better place now."
Lance smiled and stood up and turned around. He saw katalina just behind him. She was crying too.
"Hey.."
he knelt down and hugged her as she cried into his shoulder. Kiera joined this too.

Cassandra started to walk to varian. The demons words ringing in her head
the rest will be up to you and him
Up to..her and him?
She arrived at his side when varians eyes started to flutter open.
He saw her shadow, the rest was just white from sunlight.
"C..cassie?
"Varian.."
She knelt down and he sat up. His eyes squinted from sunlight.
"Wh-what..happ.."
His eyes went wide in shock as images flooded through hus head.
Placing the bombs.
Them going off.
Eugene...
Jail..
Rapunzel..
The king..
Nigel..
Hector..
His father..
Adira..
...set...
His pupils were pinpricks.
"S..Set.."
Tears started to stream down his face
Cassandra quickly pulled him into a hug.
His eyes were still wide.
"Varian...I know what your thinking, its not your fault.."
"It..it is"
He started to sob, and Cass held him tighter.
Memories of the blood. Memories of the pain, the smoke the destruction.
They stayed like this for a while.
No one spoke. No one.
He felt like a monster. He was a monster. He was a demon. He was insane.
"K-kill me"
Cassandras eyes shot open
"What?!"
"I..said kill me"
She pulled away and looked into his eyes. He wasnt who he used to be, and he proparbly never would be again. He wasnt insane, he wasnt a blood thirsty monster. He was broken. His eyes showed this.
"V-varian..."
He pulled out her sword
"Use it. Use it on me. I..I beg you"
