'Venice's POV'

After I told Led about the threats that I received ay hindi pa rin ako makatulog. Kanina pa ako paikot-ikot sa kama ngunit ni kaunting antok man lang ay wala akong maramdaman.

Dahil dito ay napag-desisyonan kong bumaba sa kusina.

"Miss Venice," Medge greeted me, "May kailangan po ba kayo?" Tanong nito matapos uminom ng kape.

Napabuntong-hininga ako, "Just Margarita," sagot ko.

Right after she granted my request I told her to stay for a moment for a little chitchat.

"Hey, Medge."

"Yes, Miss Ven?"

I chuckled, "Oh please. Drop the formality, tayo lang naman ang nandito eh."

She smiled.

"You know... You've changed," nabigla ako sa sinabi niya but I managed to compose myself. I didn't expect something like that from her, "It suits you better," patuloy pa nito.

Hindi ko alam pero nang marinig ko ang mga salitang lumalabas sa bibig niya ay parang may nararamdaman akong saya.

'I feel more carefree.'

Nagbago ang ekspresyon ko nang maalala ko ang rason kung bakit ko siya pinanatili dito.

"Medge, do you still think that I'll be able to find whatever I'm searching for?"

I saw a glimpse of sadness flashed before her eyes.

Hindi siya sumagot kaya nagpatuloy ako, "I want to find them— so bad that I'm willing to risk my life but as the days go by, it seems like I'm looking for invisible fuckers."

Memories flashed before my vision about me being with my mom, dad and cousins as my eyes watered.

This is the first time that I'm weeping like a baby in front of one of my Confederates here.

"I'm confused," I said in a low tone, trying not to crack my voice.

Mas lalo lang akong naiyak nang lapitan niya ako para yakapin.

"I'm so sorry, Venice," she whispered.

Kinabukasan ay nagising ako dahil sa paulit-ulit na katok ni KC. I opened the door right after I fixed myself.

I raised my brow, "What is it this early?"

Bahagya pa itong napayuko na tila ba ay nakagawa ng malaking kasalanan, "Umm... It's Led," she smiled.

Led told me that we should go on a date. Nagtaka nga ako kung bakit eh bago lang kami nagkita, he told me that he'll be busy soon enough because of their family business. Pumunta kami sa isang amusement park, at dahil malapit na ang bakasyon ay marami-rami rin ang mga dumadalo.

Napahinto ako sa paglalakad kaya ganoon din siya.

"Is there any problem? Don't you like it here? May gusto ka bang punta—"

"I want cotton candy," I softly spoke.

Nahagip kasi ng paningin ko ang isang cotton candy stand. I have observed that kids and even adults are enjoying it. I wonder how they felt that's why I wanna try.
