Jared Cockrell was born in San Diego, California and is the son of Larry and Tiffany Cockrell. In his high school career, Cockrell scored 48 goals, 73 assists for 121 points for Kent's Hill. After graduating from high school, Jared played juniors for the Brooks Bandits of the AJHL for two seasons. During his time with the Bandits, Cockrell scored 61 goals, 62 assists for 123 points in his junior career. After those two years of juniors, Cockrell elected to play college hockey for the Colgate University Raiders (great choice Jare)! In his 112 games for the Raiders, Cockrell scored 23 goals, 29 assists for a total of 52 points for the Raiders over four years. Cockrell became one of my personal favorite players in my lifetime and I hope he does great things away from Hamilton. Majoring in economics, Cockrell will graduate in May.
