Colgate Freshman forward Matt Verboon accompanied team Switzerland at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championships over the holiday break over in The Czech Republic. In five games at the world juniors Verboon tallied three goals, three assists and six points for the Swiss in the tournament. Switzerland's tournament journey came to an end in the quarterfinals with a loss to Russia. Verboon was out for the Raiders weekend series against Ohio State but is expected back when the Raiders head to the electric city to play the Union College Dutchmen and RPI Engineers in ECAC Hockey action next weekend. Colgate's season continues when the maroon and white brigade head to the capital district when they resume ECAC Hockey action against Union and Rensselaer.
