"Not much longer" I say
"I hungry" lily says
How can you be hungry you had breakfast an hour ago?" I ask
"She has dads tummy a bottomless pit" Brooklyn says and I laugh and nod
"When we see mommy" Riley asks
"We will see mom after we look at all the nice animals is that okay" I look at her in the mirror and she nods scared
"Hey there's no need to be scared, mommy is all good, and your away to see some really cool animals with your sisters Isn't that fun?" I ask hyping her up
And she gives a teethy grin
"Can we listen to Disney please" I hear followed by squealing
Here it goes the non stop singing and princesses the joys of girls
"LET IT GO LET IT GO!" Starts blearing through the car
"DOWN!!" I hear Riley scream so I automatically turn the music right down so you can just hear it
"I'm so sorry baby you okay" I ask her and hyperventilates and cries while shakes her head

Oh fuck I can't even pull over I'm on the high way
"I forgot she doesn't like loud noises" Brooklyn says hugging her
"Can you try calm her down while I'm looking for a place to pull over" I ask frantically
She does as told
I need to call someone but I don't want to worry jug or betty as I'm almost two hours away from riverdale
Aha Veronica will give me advice, my phone is connected through Bluetooth on my car
"Hello? omg who's crying" she asks
"Hi V sorry to bother you but I'm having a day out at the zoo with the twins and Brooke, we are basically two hours away from riverdale, Emm so I put on the Disney playlist as they asked for it but I forgot Riley struggles with loud noises and she is hyperventilating and crying and I don't know what to do bettys not here this has never happened before!" I ramble on
"Right emmm, pull over ASAP, and you have to take her out the car so she can get fresh air and breath, calm her down and then Betty should have a bottle in the peppa put bag it's the one with the purple lid it  has like breast milk or something it alway calms her down while giving it to her says it's Mommy's milk as Betty ain't here to feed her when she gets like this"  she tells me
"Okay thank you so much I didn't want to worry but and Betty as Betty is really ill" I say and we say our goodbyes

I pull over and grab her out, I hold her close but so she can breath in fresh air after a few mins she starts to calm down
"Are you feeling good now" I ask her quietly, she nods
"Milk" she says groggy
"Okay let's her culled in and have some of mommy's milk, we only have about 20 mins to go" I say

About ten mins had past and we are now playing eye spye
"I pie boo" lily says
"Hmmm something blue, THE SKY" Brooklyn says
"Yesss" lily says

We are now in the zoo at the monkey exhibit
"Look at all the different type of monkeys" I say pointing to one
"Can you guys remember what a monkey says?" I ask
"oo oo ah ah" they say and laugh so much I'm holding the lils hand and the dog lead in the other and Brooklyn is holding Riley's hand
"Now which if you guys is a cheeky monkey?" The worker asks while we look at a monkey And they all start pointing to eachother me and the worker laugh
"Okay then that's means you all get a sticker then" she says
"Now monkeys what's your names" she asks  while getting stickers
"I'm Brooklyn"
"Liwy"
They say
"This is Riley she's shy" Brooklyn says while Riley hides behind her leg
"Hey monkey do you want a special sticker" the lady asks
"Yes pwees" Riley speaks up
"Good job riri" I high five her because I know it's hard for her speaking to new people

We have gotten half way through the zoo and the kids have gotten a sticker for every different animal
"What animal is this guys?" I ask them
"Tiger" Riley says excited
"Is this your favourite animal" I ask and she nods
"Roar" lily says
"Awww look at the baby one" Brooklyn points
"Me" Riley says
"Is that you, Riley tiger, is that your new name" I ask laughing
She nods and smiles
"Your grandchildren are so cute" a lady's says to me
"Thank you, I know but they are little monkeys sometimes, I have another granddaughter bit she's at school as she probably won't want to be seen with her papa an sister at 11 years old" I laugh
"I know the feeling, only two of the four grandsons want to come out with me and they aren't even biologically mine" she laughs
" these are all biologically related to me, fp Jones" I say
"Fp Jones? I didn't even recognise you, my son reggie went to school with your boy" she says
"Oh hi I didn't recognise you either mrs mantle, Yea I know about the whole Cole,Toby,Ethan and Cody thing, you see betty has been inseparable with Veronica since high school so all their kids are all 'cousins' with my grandkids and the same with Cheryl and tonis kids, Kevin and fangs kids and all that stuff, so I know all about every single one do the kids, it's so hard to keep track of all of them" I laugh
"Oh I see so this is Jughead Jones and Betty coopers kids" she ask
"Yep that's us, I'm Brooklyn nice to meet you uncle reggie mom" Brooklyn says
"What nice manners, hi dear" mrs mantle says
"Have a nice day mrs, come on grandpa you can't be getting in with her there so to much different and weird relationships in pour family already" Brooklyn whispers to me
"Brooklyn go watch your sisters please" I say through my teeth
"I better get going I have to go do the monkey feeding now" she says and walks away

We finish up at the zoo and are now in the toy shop because I promised them a toy each, Riley gets a tiger teddy, Brooklyn gets a monkey teddy and lily gets a monkey teddy aswell bit it's a different type

The kids slept the whole way home, just before I drove in the drive way they woke up
"We are home girls" I say and help them un buckle
We walk in and see betty looking so dead on the sofa while watching gossip girl and jug was giving her a spoonful on medicine
"Hey guys did you have fun, hey sprinkles"jug greets them with a hug and strokes sprinkles who runs off to sniff the house
"Yes we got teddys" Brooklyn says
"Go give your mom a hug i think she needs one" I say and sit on the couch
"Hey girls, how was your day" betty says sounding so bad

"It was so fun mom, we seen so much animals and stuff and we got to pet the otters" Brooklyn says so happy before anyone could respond
"Looks like someone had a good day then, how bout you girls" Betty ask the twins as she hugs them
"I want go again" lily says smiling
"I wike the tiger" Riley says showing her teddy
"I know,tigers are your favourite aren't they" Betty says
"Emm girls can yous go out your teddy's in your rooms so they don't get lost so I can't talk to your parents" fp asks and they leave

"What's up dad?" Jug sis worried
"Emm so there was a little commotion in the car today, Riley had a breakdown because she was scared to be away from her mom and the music was to loud, I'm starting to think this is getting serious" I explain
They look at eachother sadly
"Yea we have thought that to we have made an appointment with her doctor and stuff" jug says
"But I'm so proud because today at the zoo we were at the monkey bit and a lady was asking their names and stuff to give them a sticker Brooklyn told the lady that her name was Riley and she was shy so she didn't takj to people much and the lady understood but the lady kindly asked if Riley wanted a sticker but before I could answer for her Riley was 'yes please' SHE SPOKE TO A COMPLETE STRANGER! I was so happy" I explain and they smile
"Oh my god actually" betty says
You might think we are over reacting but in reality Riley won't speak to anyone but people she knows and sometimes she only whispers so this was a big deal
"I told her good job and gave her a high five" I say
"Okay so that's a little progress I guess" betty says
