"Hey New York," Blaze smiled. "You know, I was thinking about our conversation earlier and I thought maybe you would reconsider my offer if I had more school spirit like your boy Austin," he said, pulling his hoodie up and off, revealing a black t-shirt that said "Touch Down" on it in big white letters.

Jolie couldn't help but laugh as she picked up one of his fries and threw it at him. He ducked his head and caught it in his mouth, chewing it up and her eyes widened in surprise.

"I'm a man of many talents," he said with a smile, wagging his eyebrows up and down at her.

"I'll take your word for it," she laughed, shaking her head.

She looked into his brown eyes as he smiled, and she smiled back. She liked this fun, playful side of him more than the grumpy, arrogant side she was used to seeing.

As she sat there looking across the table at him with his messy mop of dark brown hair and that sexy smirk, she could understand why he had gotten so many votes on the website. A lot of girls would have a hard time resisting his charm and not falling for him.

"So what's the hottest girl in school doing sitting here all by herself at Roller Gals?" he asked, popping a fry in his mouth and chewing it up with a smile.

"You think I'M the hottest girl in school?" she asked, before laughing out loud. "That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard," she said shaking her head.

"You don't think you are? Have you looked in the mirror lately?" he asked as he stared into her eyes, making her skin suddenly feel hot and her cheeks flushed. "So you didn't answer my question. What are you doing here all alone?"

"I'm not. I'm actually here with Austin, but I'm not sure where he went," she said, looking around.

"So, is this like a date you guys are on?" he asked, raising an eyebrow as he ate another fry.

"No, we're just friends hanging out."

She noticed that Blaze looked happy to hear that. Then she glanced over and noticed that the two men he had been sitting with earlier were looking at her. They were in their early twenties and literally looked like they just got out of prison, with tattoos covering their arms and part of their neck, wearing tight white wife-beaters that showed their large arm muscles and old faded jeans with leather boots.

She had heard some rumors around school that Blaze was in business with some very bad, dangerous people. She hadn't been sure if it was true or not, but after seeing those two men she guessed it probably was.

"So who were those two guys you were sitting with earlier? They ummm. They look a little rough," Jolie whispered hesitantly.

"A little rough?" he repeated, raising an eyebrow and then glancing over at his friends before looking back at her. "Those two guys over there are like my brothers. They're the family I never had and they took me in when I had nobody. I would trust them with my life."
