A Day In the Mind

Flower

Revisiting near six years ago,
To that little post-it note.
"A flower cannot grow on its own."
One would assume that the meaning,
Is that a soul cannot grow alone.
One would assume,
That love is having picking someone to be with.
I've rexamined this,
And I see it differently now.

Love is not picking a flower,
Because eventually, it would die.
Love is nurturing a flower,
Because eventually, it will grow.
