<part four>

~~ After the commercial~~

JS: Andito parin tayo with Maine, Alden and their kids. Which part of the house are we now Maine?

M: We are in our music room. All my children play musical instruments. That is my requirement naman. Any kind they like as long as they can play it.

JS: Do you or Alden play any musical instruments?

M: I can play the piano and the drums. RJ can play the piano and can strum a decent tune sa acoustic guitar.

JS: Ay oo nga pala I remember Maine playing the drums sa Eat Bulaga. So do the kids play the drums too?

R: All of them can play the piano and the drums like their Mom. Up until now they get music lessons sa school. Thirdy, Theo and Sieg also plays the guitar. Aycee got interested in violins so marunong sya nun. Seb can play the flute and the clarinet and he's pretty good at it, and our baby Chuchay is interested na din sa violin like her Ate Aycee.

JS: I just notice na you have a piano and an electric organ here. Tapos you also have a baby grand piano sa labas.

M: The baby grand was a wedding gift to us. Masyado syang maganda para itago dito. So we bought an upright piano for the kids to practice on. May drum set din dyan. A couple of guitars, violin, flute and clarinet.

R: Pinaganda ko acoustics dito, if you've notice na para syang recording studio complete with acoustic tiles. It's like one big live room and that small enclosed space in glass is the control room. It has a complete workstation with recording capacity. I love staying here and just listen to the kids play music you can listen too to your own music. You can also stream music here to various parts of the house, the speakers are linked via bluetooth. We have the equipment for that, we can even record the kids while they play.

JS: Ang high tech!

R: Basta kung ano ang gusto ng mga bata which will improve their well-being, go kami ng mommy nila dyan.

JS: Can we ask the kids to play music, please? Can Chuchay play the drums first? Can you show us please?

M: Chuchay, would you mind playing a short piece on the drums? Tita Jessica is requesting.

Chuchay: Okay! *sits on the scaled-down drumset and plays an old song from Taylor Swift, "Shake it off"*

JS: *claps* Wow she's really good! Manang mana sayo Menggay. *claps again* Okay, can you guys *nods to the other five* play for us too?

Thirdy. Sure. *nods to Theo* Theo would you take the piano? Aycee can play the violin, Sieg do you want the bass or acoustic? *nods at Sieg* Okay, I'll get the acoustic and Seb can play the clarinet. Chuchay baby, can you take the xylophone?

R: *whispers to Theo who then signals to the rest of the group. The mellow version of the theme song of "Eat Bulaga" started to play*

M: *sits on a chair holding on to R's arms wearing a huge proud smile on her face* This never gets old. It always makes me happy when I see them play together.

JS: Do you do this often? Music jamming?

R: Not often, pag nasa mood saka pag nag request si Mommy nila *nods at M* Saka pag andito mga grandparents nila and mag request din.
