<Part Two>

~~After the commercial~~

JS: Welcome back mga kapuso. We are here now with Alden, Maine and their kids. Mabalik tayo. Maine, do they all have yayas?

R: Wala silang yaya na tig-iisa, no ayaw namin nun. We have four people who helps us sa pag aalaga. My wife wanted to be hands on sa mga bata since we had the first one. May umaalalay lang lalo na pag wala kami pareho sa bahay.

M: I wanted my children to be independent. We taught them that early on. The yayas are there to help out but not to do everything for them. I try as much as possible to be there for them, but with our line of work, di naman posible yun lagi so may umaalalay lang. RJ and I agreed early on na di kami magsasabay ng trabaho. So pag may project sya, I don't accept big workloads para ako ang nasa bahay, and pag ako naman ang meron, sya naman ang nagbabantay sa mga bata. Except of course, sa movies and shows na we starred together, then we bring the kids with us pag pwede.

R: It's Meng who wakes them up for school, nagpapaligo nung maliliit pa and makes their breakfast and baon, and hanggang pwede kami mismo naghahatid at nagsusundo sa kanila. We always go to their school activities together. Ilang beses na kong tinalo nun sa Jack en Poy *laughs* We wanted the kids to have normal lives as much as possible.

JS: *to the kids* Who gives the bigger baon, Mommy or Daddy?

Theo: *frowns and shakes his head* Mom fixes our lunchbags for school everyday. She makes us sandwiches and rice for baon.

Thirdy: They give us a weekly allowance then Mom makes our lunchbags. Whatever money that's left over from the week, we save up. Mom and Dad always say magtipid. They would always tell us, *minics his dad's voice* "ang pera mahirap kitain, it doesn't grow on trees. You work hard to live comfortably."

Theo: And Mom would say, *mimic's his mom's voice* "always save up especially for rainy days"

Aycee: Yeah.. and if you want something like a new doll or like Kuya with their computers, you wait for your birthday or christmas to ask for it. Or you work for it. Like doing extra chores and we get paid extra for it.

JS: You have chores?

Aycee: Yes po. Like every morning when you get up you have to fix your bed. You can't leave it a mess, Mom gets mad, lalo na si Daddy. He'll call you and you have to make the bed infront of him.

JS: Really?

Theo: Yes po and Kuya and me gets to throw the trash out pag night. We set the table and cleaned it up after lunch or dinner. We do it by turns. Like if I get Mondays, Kuya gets Tuesdays, Aycee get Wednesdays, Sebby gets Thursdays and Sieggy gets Fridays, like that. Even Chuchay helps.

JS: But you have the househelp to do that.

Seb: Lola Pe and Lola 'gie are old na eh. So we have to help them. They can't do as much anymore. And the other have enough to do already. You can always do something to help.
