Sieg: And we're not babies anymore, Chuchay lang. We can do it.
Aycee: We do summer jobs in Mcdonald's, Concha's, Italianni's and Maine's. We also get paid for it.
JS: Talaga?
R: Yes, we include them in summer programs sa Mcdo. They learn how to mop floors, wipe tables, flip burgers, make fries, cashiering. We have them do it sa Concha's too and other restos. If they will inherit the businesses one day, they should know how to run it from the ground up.
M: That way they learn the value of hard work. *nods at R* They should work with both hands. Honest work for an honest pay. They get rewards too for good grades. I'm very proud to say all of them are consistent honor students.
JS: I admire you both on how you're raising your kids. Mababait. They're polite too. I noticed that when we arrived, nagmano kagad sila.
M: It's not without trials and mistakes. It's a major group effort. I also give credit to the kids kasi mababait naman din sila.
Meng's family were like that. We leave the spoiling to the grandparents *laughs* and yes they're basically good kids, madali naman sila kausapin.
R: It's when their Mom starts calling them by their full names, complete with middle name and apelyido, sabay taas ng kilay, naku better run. And fast!
M: And when their Dad starts to raise his voice, mahaba kasi pasensya neto eh. Kaya when he raises his voice, magtago ka na.
R: One sure fire way? Take away their phones and turn the wifi off. *chuckles*
M: In fairness naman to the kids, hindi din naman sila yung tipong 24/7 naka tutok sa phones nila. Mas malala pa nga ako eh *chuckles* and we have rules sa house when it comes to phones.
JS: Like?
Theo: No phones during mealtimes.
Aycee: No phones after 8pm on school nights.
Thirdy: If the parents get called sa school for cellphone discipline, walang phone for two months.
Seb: Mom and Dad has permission to check our phones anytime.
Sieg: You can only get new phones after two years. And only if you deserve it.
Chuchay: Only three games allowed on the cellphone.
JS: You have a cellphone too Chuchay?
Chuchay: Yes I have one. Mommy says it's for em.. emer.. emger.. what's that again Mommy?
M: Emergencies. So you can call Mommy or Daddy if you need us *taps C's nose and kisses her*
JS: Do they all have rooms of their own? I remember we did a feature here years ago, buntis ka pa nung Meng di ba?
M: *nods* Antagal na nun *chuckles* Yes, I was still pregnant with Aycee back then. Wala pa yung kambal and Chuchay. Thirdy and Theo share a room, we found it easier to put them in one room since magkasunod sila, the twins share a room too. The girls, Aycee and Chuchay have their own rooms.
