(I'm a little behind) but what are our thoughts on Harry lately? Watermelon Sugar? SNL?

...

Amelia

It's Christmas night and I'm currently sitting on my couch, drinking a glass of wine while I watch a movie with my siblings. They're just beginning to settle down after a long day. It's been nonstop since this morning when we opened presents. I love Christmas, but their energy has been too much for me to handle.

"Can I have a sip?" Charlie asks me, sleepily looking over at me from where is is sat across the room.

I shake my head.

"No way," I respond.

"But it's Christmas!"

"But it's Christmas," I mock him. He giggles as I chug the rest of my wine so he can't ask for a sip again.

As soon as I stand up to put the empty glass in the kitchen, my cell phone rings. I quickly speed walk out of the room and place my glass next to the kitchen sink while I pick up my phone which was lying on the counter top.

"Hello?" I answer it.

"Merry Christmas!" Harry's cheery voice fills the other line.

My heart immediately warms and a goofy smile spreads on my face. I haven't talked to him in a while it feels like.

"Merry Christmas," I say to him. I open my mouth to say something else but instead I furrow my eyebrows and come to a realization. It's nearly 10 at night here so it must be about 3 in the morning by him. "Harry, isn't it a bit late to be calling? For you I mean.."

"It's not too late. I mean, maybe it's a tad late, but I wanted to talk to you. I didn't know when to call because I didn't want to disturb your day..."

I sigh and sit down at the table in the kitchen.

"You would never disturb my day," I answer softly.

"And you as well, which is why I don't mind the late night phone calls," Harry responds. I smile, picturing Harry all curled up and nestled in bed while he talks to me. "So tell me everything. How was your Christmas?"

I go through the works, leaving out unnecessary details. I tell him how Charlie and Mikey violently woke me up this morning so we could open presents. I tell him how Dad nearly burned the house down from his cooking skills. And then I finish off by telling him how we've been watching the movie A Christmas Story for a little while now. It plays all of Christmas Day and Charlie and James insist on watching it at least three times. Emma usually taps out after two and Mikey will complain, but wind up staying to watch anyway.

"That sounds fun," Harry answers, honestly. "I like your siblings. They're cute."

I smile.

"They're pretty okay. There's definitely never a dull moment here," I laugh.

"Oh I could imagine, love."

I sigh and rest my elbow on the table, propping my head up on my hand.

"Did you do anything exciting today?" I ask him.

I can picture Harry shrugging before he answers me based off of the brief pause.

"Not really. My sister and I went over our mum's early this morning - or rather yesterday morning. It's nice to see them and Robin. I also saw my dad yesterday as well so that was fun. Other than that we did almost the same thing as you - opened presents, had dinner, relaxed at night," he says.
