"At least Bulacan pa din. Eh ikaw what's your excuse? Ang layo ng Laguna ha!"
He laughed. He missed his sassy Nicomaine.
His.. but she was not his, not anymore.
He cleared his throat. "Ah ano, kagagaling ko lang sa taping sa malapit lang. Parang I'm still restless so I went for a quick drive and ended up here. Eh Ikaw ano nga ginagawa mo dito?"
"May shoot ako with Bossing bukas dito lang banda din sa Bulacan so I decided to go home. Pero like you, I started feeling restless so naisip kong magpahangin muna so I drove too"
"Eh bakit dito? Wala bang masagap na hangin banda dun sa inyo?"
"I don't freakin' know! Basta nag drive lang ako. Ikaw nga dapat tanungin ko eh. Shouldn't you be heading towards the South instead?"
"I don't know either" shrugging his shoulders. Suddenly he gave an impish smile, "may mga guards ka bang nakitang rumoronda kanina?"
"Wala pa naman. Why?"
"Tara pasok tayo sa loob. Kahit dun sa may hagdan lang."
She replied with an equally impish grin and nods. He then held her and easily lifted her high up over the waist high barrier and jumped after her.
"Naks, parkour ba yan?"
He laughed.
They walked at leisure around the area, their conversations peppered with "Do you remember" and "This is what happened.." and laughed at each other. How wonderful it is to hear them laugh together again. It's as if the trees around them were listening and shook gently with laughter too as a gentle breeze swept through them.
Maine shivered.
"Bakit kasi naka sleeveless tapos wala namang jacket? Ang lakas ng loob ginawin naman." As he took off his own zipped hoodie and draped it around her shoulders. "Suot mo to. Magkakasakit ka pa nyan eh"
"Thank you" as she stuffed her arms into sleeves and immediately felt cozy and warm. The jacket smells heavenly. It's her favorite scent of him.
"So.. kumusta ka na?"
"Ba't ganyan ka magtanong? Parang di naman tayo nag uusap o nag tetext lagi."
"Nangungumusta lang naman!"
"Fine. Eto nakatapos ng isang movie, may tinatapos na isa pa, pero hindi na with feelings." she laughed at her own joke.
"Ikina-witty mo na yan?" he smirked.
"Kainis ka! Uwi na nga ako!"
"Joke lang! Lagay ikaw lang pwedeng mag joke?"
"Fine. Eh ikaw kumusta ka na din?"
"Eto, naka hello and goodbye na sa isang movie. Love with the TS naman. I like this one. Challenging eh."
"I know. I watch it."
"Talaga ba?"
"Nakakainis ka talaga. I'll have you know I try to watch it live, if I can't, I catch up on Hooq. Nag subscribe ako para lang doon ha! Oh and repeats of VM as well"
" Uy salamat ha. I really appreciate it"
