Chapter 39

Elizabeth's pov

I woke up after hearing the birds singing. I let a yawn as noticing Meliodas was keeping me close and warm. I cuddle him up while my face was burning after I remember what he said last night. "Marry me.." his voice echoes my mind as my face got more worst than before. Did he ask me... to marrying him? I was shock and confused as I can heard my heart beating fast. I'm confuse... I'm PURE confuse about marriage. I never think about getting marrying or being alone with someone who I love. But this... I'm not quite of sure. Diane and King got marry dueling they know each others for 500 years. And Abigail marrying Damien dueling they were true love or soulmates as knowing each others for a year. I only meet Meliodas for a week ago but...

It felt that I knew like 10 years ago.

Its quite of strange and weird as I close my eyes and try to sleep more. I want to know... I really want to know if I meet him when I was a child. Soon I start read my childhood and the truth...

Flashback...

I was six years which I bit rebellious and try to sneak out of the castle. I giggle as I open the window and looking at Ban, Margaret and Veronica  who were still sleeping. I felt bad what I was doing as I jump out of the window and feets were at the edge of the wall. The wind blow flesh as I shiver and start moving in a safe and quiet. I soon got to the balcony of my grandfather's office which I got in and glance the lovely moonlight with beautiful stars. I rest my arms to the stone fences while seeing a the Capital have a festival. I smile as the wind blow away my long hair. "What are you doing up? Missy" I soon turn around and seeing a man with blond messy hair and black eyes with mark on his forehead.

I soon step back out of shyness and nervous which I running to the edge before the man grab my arm and he pull me back. "Sneaky Princess, I'm going to take you back to your room, like it or not. Why children of this century always rebel their parents?" He ask himself while I was begging him to not take back to my room. The man sigh and ask why which I soon look down while I was shame and embarrassed. "My grandpa doesn't me let outside of the castle. He always tell me to be inside and let my siblings to go outside. Please, don't take me back. I want to explore and see new thing than being a Princess trap in a lonely castle" I whisper in the last part.

The man look shock while I was embarrass by that. The man soon let of my arm and blend down as he place his hand on my cheek. It got me look at  him while he smile. "Don't worry, Little Princess. I'm going to take you to the festivals, if you really want to" he spoke as I smile and thank before I ask him whats his name. "Meliodas, and you?" "Elizabeth but everyone call me Ellie" I said as Meliodas smile before he pick me up and fly off to the castle and towards the festivals. We laugh, eat, dance and watch folktales they were telling. I couldn't help but to smile and felt happiness. Being free and have freedom. Meliodas took me back to the Castle but the gardens as he place me on a chair.

I grab his cape as getting him look at me. "Meliodas, please don't leave me here. Take me with you" I beg which shock before smile and kiss my forehead. I blush as I look at him. "I'm sorry, Ellie. I can't take you since your brother and sisters will be worry about you along with your parents. But one day, when you get older as sixteen or seventeen I will take you away. I'm going to take you to beautiful gardens and have lot of freedom you want. Just wait for me when you get older, okay?" He spoke which I nods before I fall asleep.

The next morning, I was found by my siblings and mother while I covered by a black warm cape from Meliodas...

End of flashback..

I open my eyes while tears were falling from my face. That was him? Meliodas was the man who take me out of the castle and promise me my freedom? I can't believe. Meliodas... it really was you along. No wonder why I was so comfortable with you. I start crying quiet which I soon felt Meliodas awake and asked me what wrong while he look worry. I look at him with smile which shock him before I give him a kiss. "Thank you, for taking me to the festival those years ago. I was really happy when you show me around the festival" I spoke which shock him before he smile and made me sat up as he lift himself. Meliodas pull me into a passion kiss which I kiss back. I couldn't help but felt this much joy.

Now I know why I trust him so much. And made a promise to me to free me from the being shelter and prison by the my grandfather's orders. I'm soon happy. We pull away as we were heavily breathing but have our heads close to each other and smile. Meliodas' eyes turn emerald and his mark disappear. "Yes..." I whisper which Meliodas chuckled and asked again as I look at him while my cheeks were burning bright. "Yes, I will marry you" I spoke as he smile bright and hug me gentle and soft. "Will you definitely make a benevolent Queen what I need and beloved wife too" he said as I slightly laugh and a tear fall at side of my left cheek.
