~Sunday~
Maine had slept in on Sunday, waking up at 7am. She and ate April decided to make pancakes for breakfast enough for the whole family, also another breakfast favorite of her sons. Twenty four pancakes later, she was finally able to put some on her own plate and sat down to eat.
Meng glanced at the clock, just enough time for them to attend the 10am sunday mass and enough time to get back to the house to talk to RJ and see him via Skype. They decided on Skype instead of facetime so Meng could use her macbook instead for a wider screen. She took her laptop to the dining room table as soon as they got back in the Nuvali house after mass in preparation for the Skype call.
RJ had set his alarm for 5am Sunday for their 5:30am skype call but was wide awake at 4am. He was excited for the skype call. He tried not to watch the clock. When he couldn't go back to sleep, he decided to take advantage and did some exercises, he hasn't been to the gym in a week. He did some stretching, jogging in place, he had read through the scripts for the upcoming week, did some notations for the scenes, put all of his clean clothes away and played a few games on his tablet. He had charged his phone, and spent time scrolling through the pictures of Meng and their kids. He misses them all, but most especially his wife.
At 5:30am, RJ sent a text message to Meng: 'Ready when you are for a Skype call.' He didn't expect an almost instant reply: 'Ready now!' RJ opened the Skype app on his laptop and dialed Maine. Within two rings, she had answered the call.
R: Love, it's so good to see you! *blows a kiss through the screen*
M: *smiles* I have missed you all week, Love. It's so good to see you too! Kahit lagi tayong magka face time miss na miss pa rin kita.
The pair spent a few minutes looking at each other, not wanting to break the virtual eye contact.
RJ: *grinning at M* I miss seeing your smile everyday..
M: *smiling back at R* I love your goofy grin..
Daddy Bae: Ahem, ahem.. maka bati lang din saglit. Anlagkit na ng tinginan nyong mag asawa eh. Partida skype pa yan ha. *laughs*
R: Dad naman! Namiss lang. *chuckles*
DB: Hala si Menggay mo nag blush na! Parang di pa tatlo mga anak nyo ha *laughs* Ayan, mag hello lang ako. Ingat ka lagi dyan ha? Bukas pupunta ako sa inyo silipin ko mga bagay bagay dun. Kausap ko na din si balae kahapon. Sya naman ang sisilip susunod.
R: Ay thank you po Dad. I just need to make sure my family is safe at all times.
M: *calling out to Thirdy and Theo* Kids, daddy's here look!
Thirdy: *screaming as soon as he saw his daddy on the screen* Daddy! *waves at the screen* Whew aw you?
Theo: Daddy! *touching the screen*
R: Hey! There are my handsome boys! I miss you! How are you? Thirdy how's school?
Thirdy: Daddy! I fell in the playground. *pouts and showed his skinned knees* But it's not ouchy anymore. Teachew put ouchie band and Mommy kissed it. *smiles and hugs his mommy*
R: *looks at M* Saan na naman nadapa yan?
M: Eh di sa school, mana sa yo eh. Sabi nga ni Teacher Ruth marami naman syang band-aids. *chuckles*
Theo: Daddy! I eat hi-cakes! Yum! *grins*
R: Ano daw?
M: Hotcakes. Nagluto kami ni Ate April ng pancakes kanina for breakfast.
R: Ahh.. Did you like it Theo?
Theo: Yes daddy, Mama put choleyt yummy!
M: Theo, it's chocolate. Well, actually Nutella yun.
