"Kimberly!" Dale called you the stairs. "Come down here, I need to talk to you."

Kimberly huffed. She already knew what it was about, he was going to want to speak about her birthday. She took the staircase into the living room where her father was seated. "Yes?"

"Take a seat." He nodded his head towards the free couch. "You need to go and get a dress. Take Fayza with you, she will need one too. You can choose any that you like, but it has to be fit for a princess."

Kimberly thing for a moment. Not matter how much the idea of the party frustrated her, dressing like a princess? How could she ever pass up that opportunity?

"Just pick one." Fayza pushed her best friend. Usually shopping excited Kimberly, but it was such a big decision, all for a party she felt as if she didn't deserve. Christmas was coming, that was a time for celebration, not the day of her birth.

"I don't even want-"

"You don't even want the party, I know, we all know, but it's happening so tuff luck. Pick one." There were two dresses hung up in front of Kimberly, one light pink and another a emerald green. Her father had already called into the high-end dress store and requested they help is daughter pick. She was very picky when it came to her clothing.

"I love them both. They're gorgeous, I just don't want all eyes on me." Kimberly sighed and eyed up both dresses. "What do you think?"

"Whereas I think the pink is more your personality, green compliments your skin tone so much. And you're kicking up a fuss about not being a baby anymore, the green looks more sophisticated." Zeezee gave plenty off good points, but Kim was still undecided.

She felt up the material of both of the dresses. One felt rather like tulle while the other had murkier off different kinds of martial. One would make her look like a princess, the other would make her look like a queen. "You're wearing pink, right?"

She nodded.

"Then I'll go for the green one."

"God you're so ungrateful! Your father is throwing this huge party just for you, be happy." Fayza pushed her fingers in Kay's cheeks and made a fake smile. "Stop pouring over a dress. Sound more enthusiastic!"

"I get that and I thank him for it, but I'd much prefer a quiet thing. My father knows I'm not exactly a fan of huge gatherings so why throw one?" Kimberly picked the green one off of the wreck and turned back to look at her friend.

"I know, I get that but still, just try to have fun. Think how gorgeous you'll look." Fayza giggled and ram off towards to counter so they could both pay for their dresses.

"I suppose so."

"Well it's tomorrow night so let's hurry." Zee clapped her hands, finally earning a smile out of the blonde.

"When should I start getting ready?" Kim questioned her father. He was fixing his suit jacket while looking in the mirror, Dale was already ready for the party, but he told his daughter not to get ready just yet.

"We're having your party in town, an hour away from here so you getting in your pretty dress now, it would get ruined in the ride there. The place it will be held has hotel rooms where everyone will be staying tonight, you can get ready when we get there." Dale tried to leave no detail out. Any detail he didn't have to leave out that is.

"And when are we leaving?" Kim three another question at her father.

"In a moment. Go get your stuff together, load it into the car and we'll leave." Kim nodded at her father's words and ran up the staircase to gather her makeup and clothing. She picked up all her makeup and swept it into a large makeup bad, throwing it into her suitcase. Her hair tools followed along with her shoes and some underwear. "Don't forget clothes for tomorrow and pyjamas." Dale added from the bottom of the staircase.

"Okay!" She shouted back and found some clothes. She loaded everything she needed it into another case and carried the two downstairs and out into the car. The cases were only small, but some would still see it as excessive for a one night stay.

"Dad, where's my dress?" She questioned, it was in her room two hours ago but it wasn't there anymore.

"Robert is already there, he took it with him." A small smile tugged at the corner of her lips just at the brunette's name.

"Oh, okay." She nodded, a little relieved to hear the dress hadn't gone missing.

"Are we ready?" Dale smiled.

"Yes." Kim also smiled back. Admittedly she has began feeling a tad bit more excited about the whole situation. Maybe she had been a bit un-necessarily grumpy before.

"Fuck me, you look gorgeous." Savannah smiled as she entered Kim's hotel room, already dressed up.

Kimberly looked to her friend as she ran a lipstick over her lips. "You look stunning." She spoke truthfully.

Kimberly And Savannah hadn't been friends for an awful long time, but the began getting closer. I'm the few months they had been friends, not once had she seen the girl in a dress. It was a velvety black gown, her now pink hair was styled in a classy bun at the back of her head, a few stands falling over her rosy cheeks.

"Not as much as you. You look like a Disney villain, but a hot one. The one teenagers would make TikTok edits about." Savannah's words caused Kim to laugh.

"You're awfully specific." Kimberly's dress was truly something else. An emerald green dress that fell down to the floor. It was strapless but had amazing detailing around the top. It looked like something poison ivy would wear. It was a dress you would only find in your dreams.

Her hair was curled, some pieces were pulled away from her face, showing off her perfect eyeliner, but it still draped down over her bare shoulders.

Sudden nerves washed over her. "Where's Fayza. She said she'd be here." Her eyes grew wide as she realised she was without her best friend.

Savannah laughed to herself. "She was just fixing her hijab. Stop stressing yourself out."

"I'm here." The sound of Zee's dress was heard as she made her way into Kim's hotel room. Her jaw dropped. "Kim," she gasped. "You look... why on earth were you nervous?!" She rushed to her friend and grabbed onto her arms in total shock.

Her dress was unbelievable. A rose-gold collie that once again fell to the floor. It sparkled under the right like making her look like a rare treasure. She really was a sight to behold. Her hijab was the perfect shade of blush, not clashing with the dress one bit. She truly did look like she belonged in a castle as poets struggled to find the words to explain her beauty.

Kim's face mirrored Fayza's. Eyes wide and mouth agape. "Have you seen yourself?! You look like a Disney princess."

A smirk found itself on Zeezee's face, finally allowing the shock to drift away. "Then who are you? My wicked stepmother?"

Both girls giggled. Savannah stood smiling at the two. "Anyway, your father sent me to come get you, it's time to go." She smiled. She felt like a proud mother. She had watched Kimberly grow as a person from afar, and now she was glad to say she had the opportunity to call Kim a friend.

"Let's go have fun." Fayza nudged Kim's side and smiled. Her and Savannah chatted about what they thought would happen through the night, but all Kim could think about was, I wonder what Robert is wearing.
