It was Sunday morning meaning Kimberly was sat at her vanity after a morning shower and applying all sorts of face masks. The two brothers were downstairs preparing lunch. Robert had barely said two words to Kim since they woke up. Kim woke up around seven in the morning, opening her eyes to see the dark haired man fast asleep, his arm secured around her waist. She didn't say a word or even try to move, she simply closed her eyes and went back to sleep, but when nine o'clock rolled around and she woke up properly, Robert was gone.

She didn't look into it too much and scrolled on her phone for a while before hopping in the shower. She had a pore-strip across her nose, gold eye masks just under her eyes and a black face mask on her forehead and chin. She had her foot outstretched on her vanity so she could paint her toes a bright red colour, that was when she heard the sound of someone clearing their throat. "What's all this?" Robert was stood at the doorframe with a smirk on his face.

"It's called taking care of yourself." She stuck out her tongue. "You should try it."

He entered her room, standing besides her and looking at her through the large mirror. "Well I was coming her to tell you lunch would be in an hour, but if you have any spares I'll be your barbie doll for a while."

Her eyes lit up in glee. "Really?"

"Sure, why not?" He lifted her out of her seat and stood her on her feet so that he could steal it. "Pretty me up."

She stood with a huge smile on her face as she turned to her small basket of face-masks. "Are you allergic to anything?" He shook his head. She pulled out a black face mask. "I'll only put it on your forehead and nose, it really hurts to take off."

Robert chuckled. "You can put it all over my face, just not in my stubble."

She gave a concerned look but agreed either way. "If you say so." She applied the mask to his face and as it dried she began painting his nails. She pulled out a dark purple colour which she rarely used and painted his fingers and toes. She made sure to wash her own face after removing all of her face products and just in time for lunch it was time for Robert to remove his mask.

"So I just pull it off?"

"Yep." She nodded in response.

"Easy." He picked at the edge of the mask, first removing it from his forehead. He tugged rather quickly causing a small gasp to escape his lips.

"What's the matter? Hurts?" She stood with a smug smile on her face.

Robert swallowed. "No." He continued to peel off the mask only this time a bit slower. The nose didn't hurt giving the impression that the pain was over with. But he couldn't be more wrong. It came to peeling it away from his under eyes. That's when he really felt pain. He tensed his jaw. Kimberly couldn't help but giggle. He finally got it off and threw it in her bin. "See. Easy." He of course tried to play it off cool.

Kimberly rolled her eyes with a grin. "Mhmm, whatever you say."

"I don't understand how it can be so hot one day and so cold the next." Caiden shivered as he entered the living room. Once again the brothers joined the girl with a movie night. An electric fire was working it's magic in heating up the room but it still wasn't enough.

"You're telling me." Kimberly sat on the floor, knees tucked into a large toy story shirt that was draped over her body.

Caiden squinted his eyes in her direction. "Then put some clothes on you dope."

She shot a glare back. "I'm comfy like this."

Robert sat back and watched the two in amusement. Without a word he left to the staircase and disappeared, though the other two were so focused on their glaring match that neither noticed.

When he returned he held a white, fluffy blanket in his hand as well as a bee stuffie. Kim was now standing with her hands on her hips. Robert picked up Kimberly and seated her one the floor besides his reclining seat. She watched him with curiosity as he tucked the fluffy blanket around her and placed the bee in her arms. "There. Better?"

She bit her lip and blushed. The small things affected Kimberly. She didn't care for money or even classic dinner dates, she loved when a man showed he cared. That's all she needed in life. So when Robert did his best efforts to make sure she stayed warm her tummy swarmed with butterflies. She nodded lightly. "Thank you." She realised she must have been staring for quite some time.

A grin appeared on his face and he ruffled her hair before regaining his seat. By now Caiden had also taken his seat at the other side of the girl, feeling accomplished as he won the glaring war. Kimberly mustered up the courage to request a cartoon movie, like the Lorax, earning a groan from Caiden. She felt embarrassed to ask. Then a thump was heard. Robert backhanded his brother. "We can watch whatever you like, sweetheart." His hand came down to the back of her neck, stroking her smooth skin lightly with the pad of his thumb.

Caiden rolled his eyes. "Your soft spot for her bores me."

Robert chuckled. "I don't have a soft spot of Kimberly, I just have respect."

Caiden joined the laughter. "Oh really? Then why don't you bat an eye at any other girl?"

Kimberly felt a little awkward. She didn't like it when people spoke about her as if she wasn't right there. Robert continued the debate. "We've known Kimberly for years. I'm not wrong for being nice to her."

She had enough. "You know I'm here, right?" She spoke full of sass. "Now put the movie on and both shush."

And so they did. Caiden had popcorn in his lap that he continuously shoved into his mouth, not sharing with anyone. Kim had enough of that too. "Gimmie some."

Caiden rolled his eyes again. He lowered the bowl by the side of his chair. "You've got a lot of attitude this evening." He reached for Kim, picking her up as if she was a doll and placed her into his lap, pulling her Blanket back over her. "There. This way I can make sure you don't eat it all."

Robert couldn't help but watch. He felt a sudden twang in his chest. It was an unfamiliar feeling. Anger boiled at her being in his brothers lap and not his, even if it was purely platonic. She should be in his so he could take care of her, not Caiden. Was he jealous? No way.

I just woke up and it's 2pm. Seriously, I don't know what's my issue. Anyway, another little chapterrrr. Hope you enjoyed.
