I was dancing with Malia, trying to blend in. Scott was observing from the outside and Kira was on the couch also observing. I saw Stiles and Lydia enter and winked at them before finding a tall dark and handsome guy to dance with. Lydia smiled and shook her head while Stiles rolled his eyes. They made their way over the bar while I danced with the attractive Mexican, I assume hunter. Possible hunter. I wasn’t sure who was and who wasn’t in this crowd, but a safe bet was assuming everyone was. I grabbed Malia’s hand and she started dancing with me and the guy. For someone who had spent 7 years running around the woods as a coyote I had to give her credit. She had moves. Lucky Stiles could no longer see us or he’d probably get jealous. They may not be ‘official,’ but I don’t think he’s appreciate Malia dancing with the tan buff Mexican hunk.

Stiles and Lydia had been out of sight for a while and looking around I noticed the guards were starting to move and talk to one another both face to face and on their radios. Kira made her way over to Malia and me.

“Something’s happening.” She said, worried.

“I know.” I said back.

“So what do we do?”

“Act cool.” I shrugged.

“Blend in.” Malia confirmed. Kira just looked at us wide eyed.

“How?” She said completely genuine.

We both rolled our eyes, “Dance with us dumbass.” Malia said with a smile as we both took one of Kira’s hands each. Kira started bobbing up and down awkwardly and biting her nails. Malia and I exchanged a look before turning back to her. Malia grabbed her hips and started moving them more naturally as I went behind and lifted her arms up. Before long we had her dancing like a normal person and swaying to the music. All the while our eyes darting around the room, keeping an eye on the guards.

Before long three of them started to make their way over to us, enclosing us in a circle. I looked between Kira and Malia and gave a quick nod saying, ‘now was the time.’ Kira pulled out her nunchucks and spun them around her wrist facing the female hunter while Malia pulled her claws out on a very tall and well build man. I turned to face some blonde in a leather jacket. I lunged at her with my claws, but she dodged the first attempt and pulled out some knife from behind her back quickly cutting my forearm. Getting slightly pissed at my now cut long sleeved Bloomingdale’s shirt I grabbed her wrist the next time she brought the knife around and kicked her in the stomach. I looked to Malia who had knocked out the guy and then over to Kira just in time to see her hit the other female hunter across the cheek, hard.

Another hunter, a young guy with dark hair, came through the crowd with a gun, but Scott appeared and knocked him down and threw him across the room. He looked at us and nodded before taking off through the crowd with us on his tail just as the blonde was started to get up.

Scott led us to a back room, closing the door behind us before we headed down the hallway. The walls were painted a creepy red and we could faintly hear the music from the rave in the background. We made it a little further down when a white mist started coming out of the vents on the floor. Scott looked at it curiously and then more started coming from the ceiling. Soon it was surrounding us and Scott and Malia started coughing while my breathing got heavier.

“It’s wolfs bane! Kira get out of here!” Scott yelled, concern lacing his voice, but it was more than that. I could feel how worried he was. Kira was the only one not affected by the fog. I wasn’t as bad as the others, but it was still irritating and stinging my eyes. Kira made a run for it, but a hunter came out of the fog and clocked her with the handle of his rifle sending her to the ground, unconscious.

I tried swinging at the open air, unable to see through the fog, but I was starting to feel weak as well. I saw the blonde from earlier and swung my claws at her, but she effortlessly dodged them and kicked my feet out from under me. Once I was lying on the ground I knew I wasn’t getting back up.

Some lady in her late 50s with short brown hair walked over to us and looked down at Scott. “Someone who had only been an alpha for a few months should be a little more careful when facing a hunter of forty years.” She said.

“All we want… is Derek.” Scott spat out in deep breaths.

“My Lobito, you’re a long way from home.” She said with a grin.

Scott looked up to her and the back at me. We both knew. She never answered properly. “You don’t know where he is either.” Scott said turning back to her and her smile dropped. She lunged forward with one of those electric stick things the hunters loved so much and pressed it to Scott’s chest at the same time someone, I’m assuming the blonde, pressed one to my back. The pain rippled through my body until it was too much and I collapsed on the ground.
