Someone Wake Me Up

As I look around,

Somethings not quite right

Everything seemed fine,

When I went to bed last night

-

The more I look,

Things are out of place

I look down,

Staring right into my face

-

I jerk my head,

Towards a fearful sound

I start to panic,

My heart begins pound

-

My eyes widen,

at a bang on the door

I do nothing,

But lay on the floor

-

The banging gets louder,

The door begins to bow

I search for escape,

Anything, even a window

-

No escape to be found,

I try to wake myself up

My body unmoving,

In this nightmare I am stuck

-

Someone wake me up,

Before it burst through

The beast on the other side,

Is not something new

-

There is a crack in the door,

He is almost in

I shake myself roughly,

And pinch my skin

-

I scream and I yell,

"WAKE UP RAY.. NOW!!"

The door shatters,

A loud echoing pow

-

Red eyes staring,

Peeking through the dark

From its lips,

A snarling bark

-

He lunges forward,

Ready to commit the crime

My body wakes up,

Just at the right time

-

I sit up straight,

Sweat soaking my bed

Looking around to see,

Thanking God I am not dead...
