It's not because of he said she said,
Or what they think.
It's not who knows who or what,
It comes as natural instinct.

It's someone you can call on,
Anytime night or day.
Someone who is always there to listen,
Even if they don't know what to say.

They'll go the distance for you,
No matter how far.
And whatever your mood may be ,
They love who you are.

They'll try their best to lift your spirits,
With every given chance.
To see that smile upon your face,
They'll even do a silly dance.

It's someone who will stand beside you,
And for you take the hits.
Fight for and along with you,
And never let you quit.

Friendship is not a competition,
For popularity or fame.
Friendship is from your heart,
In which it came.
