I Wish

I wish there was something that I could do,

To have the love that once was true.

I wish that I didn't have to try,

To get the love back that passed me by.

I wish that is was not so,

That I have to learn to let you go.

I wish that I didn't have to say,

That I really wanted you to stay.

I wish that I don't have to cry,

Remembering when you said goodbye.

I wish that you are still around,

and didn't carry your love to town.

I wish I was still in your arms,

falling for all your charms.

I wish I could tell you how I feel,

But I can't you love her still.

I wish I knew the words to say,

But all I can do for your love is pray.

I wish you were here,

so I don't have to fear.

I wish you still loved only me,

for all the world to see

I wish you forget me never,

I will always love you, forever.
