"Wait, you lost them?!" Snowball cried, a slight hint of irritation in his voice as he consulted with Buddy, Sweetpea and Norman. Just a few minutes earlier, the white rabbit had received a text from Tattoo. The pig had informed his boss that they had unfortunately lost track of both Leonard and Ozone. Now these three were claiming that they had managed to lose sight of Duke and Mel.
"We tried Snowball, honestly. But it's kinda hard to follow someone in a crowded place like this!" Buddy replied quietly in an exasperated tone. As he was saying this, the dachshund gestured to the whole apartment filled almost to the brim with partying animals. Sweetpea chirped, whistled and tweeted in agreement. A glare from Snowball silenced the both of them.
"Let me guess, you guys failed," Chloe spoke as she strolled over. Buddy and Sweetpea made no noise while Snowball was too mad to speak. Gulping, Norman quietly nodded his head. Sitting down with a sigh, the gray tabby muttered, "For your information, Mel is over at the snack table."
"Thank you Chloe-" Buddy was interrupted as Chloe doubled over and started coughing up blood...
