Approaching the rock where Tiberius had hit his head, Gidget's fur bristled in fear when she saw blood. Glancing around, she realized that the squirrel was also gone. But she was afraid he wouldn't get very far. "Please be safe..." she whispered, sniffing the air for scents. Finding the hawk's, she followed it.

After sometime, Gidget found herself in an area filled with trees to the point where one could barely see the sky. She was also finally catching up with Tiberius. Hiding behind trees and bushes so he wouldn't see her, the Pomeranian refused to lose sight of her friend as he carried the squirrel through the forest. By now, the sun was close to setting.

All of the sudden, Tiberius stopped in his tracks. Fearful he had seen her, Gidget hid behind the closest tree. Peering around it, she watched the old hawk while her heart pounded in her chest. However, it appeared that the hawk hadn't heard or seen her as he continued on his way.

Creeping out of her hiding spot, Gidget noticed that Tiberius had disappeared yet again.
