Lucas's POV
Luke and I were walking into school when I saw Maya standing by her locker.
"Hey I'll catch up to you later," I said walking over to Maya's locker.
"Alright see you later," he said walking over in another direction.
"So way to text me back last night," I said.
Maya looked up, "Oh crap I'm sorry I got so busy with everything."
"It's cool I get it your in demand," I said leaning against the locker next to her.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Maya said.
"Oh come on every guy in school wants to be with you I'm sure a least 5 guys have asked you to homecoming," I said.
"No only 3," she smiled.
"And you said no," I smiled back.
"I said no," Maya said.
"Why?"
"They asked me before I was planning on going."
"Are you going with any of them now?"
"No."
"You are so picky," I said.
"Yes I am," Maya said.
"So want to hear what I have so far for my essay?" I asked her.
"Yes," Maya smiled.
"Okay," I began, "Maya is a liar who never texts you back when she says she will."
Maya laughed then hit my arm, "Jerk."
"You know you love me," I said grinning.
"Yeah that's why I can barley stand you," Maya laughed.
The bell rang, "Alright I've got to get to class."
"See you later," Maya smiled before I walked off.
