Riley's POV
"So how was Lucas?" I asked Maya after Lucas left.
"He's okay I guess," Maya said typing on her laptop.
"Are you talking to him?" I asked.
"No," she said turning her laptop towards me, "I'm looking at hairstyles for homecoming."
"Oh your going."
"Yeah I have to now."
"Are you going with Lucas?"
"No."
"Would you go with him?"
"Probably not."
"Why probably?"
"I don't know I guess he's just different."
"Different how?"
"You ask a lot of questions."
"Well you keep a lot of secrets."
"Riley I'm not going to tell him I'm a wizard."
"Okay I never said you were."
"You were leaning towards it though."
"No I wasn't."
"Just trust me I wouldn't tell Lucas even if I liked him."
"Okay I trust you then."
Lucas's POV
"Hey mom," I said walking into our apartment.
"Lucas honey how was your study date," she asked coming over kissing my cheek.
"It wasn't a date," I said.
"Oh well whatever it was did you have fun?" she asked.
"Yeah where's dad?" I asked.
"He's teaching Sam about wizards," she said.
"He better tell Sam that he's never going to find one," I said.
"You don't know that," she said.
"Why has dad found any then?"
"It takes time."
"It's been forever."
"Hey there might be one closer than you think."
