i. hera doesn't bat an eye when they
tell her, simpering behind their hands,
that he's got another girlfriend. she
considers divorcing him. again. or
maybe just murdering him.

ii. helen rolls in silk sheets to hit IGNORE
on another of her husband's phone calls.
her lover snores beside her. funny, that's
how she's starting to feel about him now.

iii. atalanta catches the CEO's son staring
at her (again) and bares food-covered teeth.
it will be so boring if he tries to offer her more
than he already has (love, money, power). all
she wants is some blood on her hands.

iv. persephone flicks through another tabloid
sporting her face and purses pomegranate-
colored lips. she accepts one of her boyfriend's
cigarettes and wonders why, of all things, they have
to whisper she'd been stolen. as if she could be.
