"What are you two hiding?" Rudolph asked us sternly.

With a nervous laugh, I responded, "Ah...nothing..."

"Come on guys, I know you're hiding something." He looked at Donald, who was now turned to us. "What do you think, Donald?"

"I think they're dating..." I became scared.

Donald could read everyone's emotions. And, out of everyone in the world, he could read ours the best. "I say that because...they have not separated since we came to the mall. Lilian had a jealous look on her face when Ranald was talking to Madison. Now, they were just hanging back while we walked ahead...and I think they were whispering...so they were taking extra measures not to be heard." He spoke like a detective who just solved a very difficult case.

We couldn't help but be sad and disappointed in ourselves. "Okay...yah...you got us," I said, trying to hide my emotions.

"No! You don't get to play this off, Ranny..." said Rudolph, now angry.

"What? I'm not playing off anything..." I said, annoyed at him.

"Okay, guys let's just sit down somewhere and talk about this..." Lilian said.

Rudolph agreed and we went to some benches near to a fast food restaurant.

As we sat down, Donald said, "You don't have to be angry at them Rudolph..." he paused. "We both knew this was gonna happen sooner or later." Lilian and I looked at each other in silence.

Rudolph face turned from anger to sadness. "I'm not angry because they're dating...I'm happy for them..." he took a deep breath. "I'm angry because they didn't tell us," he looked down on the table. "Because I am an only child, I see you guys as my brothers and sister. And to me, brothers and sisters tell each other everything." He looked at Donald and said, "You must feel the same way too..." I looked at Donald and I saw him nodding. "That's why I was angry...you guys didn't tell us..."

I couldn't help but feel sorry. All our lives, we told each other everything. It was truly like we were brothers and sister. I felt so ashamed.

"Don't be angry at Ranald," Lillian said, in a guilty tone. "He wanted to tell you guys but...but I told him not to," she looked at me. "I guess the reason why I didn't want to say anything is because we're so close...it's like we're brother and sister. And it's weird for a brother to date his sister...actually, it's disgusting. And I didn't want you guys to think we are disgusting."

Out of no where, Rudolph slammed is hand on the table. "Okay, all this sentimental talk is making me hungry..."

The sudden change in the atmosphere made us laugh.

We went to one of the restaurants that was near us and ordered food with drinks then went to sit outside the restaurant.

Due to the fact that it was a Sunday, the customers at the restaurant were few. However, restaurants in Bridge Gate usually get more crowded as the afternoon makes way for the evening. In the morning and early afternoon — like now— people are most probably at church or waking up from a late night of partying.

"Hm...I wonder what my powers would be?" Said Rudolph, scratching his chin.

"How do you know you would get powers?" Donald asked.

"Because, we all got struck by the same lightning, and already, two of us has powers... so, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get powers, even you." Said Rudolph.

"Okay, that makes sense, " said Donald.

Rudolph started talking about what he was going to do with his powers. He said he was going to beat up bullies at school and get rid of crime in Bridge Gate.
