"Not everyone buys your albums. Not everyone knows all your songs. But when your singles come on, people throw a freaking party. Your impact is real, and it's good, and I'm sure you can't see it because those few people have made it their life goal to tell you and everyone else that it's not true, but they're wrong.

"Just, please, don't change. People love you for who you are, and they love your music for what it is, and we don't want anything else. When you started that asshole gig to promote your last album, it scared us because there's no one else out there like you, and we weren't ready to lose you. We still aren't.

"Thank you for seven incredible years. Thank you for your awkward, self consciousness teenage self who would really only show who he is through music. Thank you for the new you who speaks volumes in his words with and without that infamous guitar in the background. Thank you for always staying true to yourself. It's what we love you for.

"Your biggest fan,

"Katy (@KatyKatSaysHi on insta and twitter)

"P.S. And don't listen to everyone telling you to dump Dean Winchester to the curb just because they don't like him. We (your fans) know you don't like media backlash, but if he ever treats you wrong, I promise that cutting him out of your life will be worth it, regardless of what those no-name trashy magazines say. But if he makes you happy, I hope you never break up. You deserve your happily ever after."

Castiel wipes a tear from his eye. He's been given a lot of cute things, but this is the best gift anyone's given him. He's going to hang it on the fridge the second he gets home. He doesn't care if that means it will be stuck in his suitcase for months until his tour ends.

"What? Do I have to fight someone?" Dean asks as soon as he notices Castiel's emotional state.

"No, no fighting," Castiel assures him. "I just... I love my fans. I really, really love my fans."

"What does is say?" Dean asks.

"Just really sweet stuff," Castiel replies vaguely.

He pulls out his phone and immediately follows Katy on Instagram, then posts a picture of the folded letter on his Instagram story with the words, "Thank you so much, @KatyKatSaysHi. This is so sweet." He adds a line of rainbow heart emojis before he posts it, because it just wouldn't be complete without them.

The boat shows up then, and they have to wait for it to pull up before they can board. Castiel and Dean sit together on a bench, the latter with his arm around his boyfriend. Castiel rests his head on his shoulder and closes his eyes.

"Tired?" Dean asks, amused.

Castiel just hums in response.

The walk to the park wakes him up a bit. It takes about fifteen minutes, and when they get there, they're sent through the metal detector before heading straight into the park. Dean and Castiel walk ahead of their friends, with Lucifer vlogging behind them.

"I thought the park didn't open for another hour," Castiel says, confused. "Why are we here now?"

"Reservations," Dean replies. "We're special."

They lapse into silence, until Dean breaks it.

"Silence is awkward. Let's talk," he says.

"Talk about what?"

"Stuff," Dean says vaguely. "Random topic of conversation time: where do you see yourself in, say, ten years?"

"What is this, kindergarten?" Castiel says with a light laugh. "I don't really know, honestly. It'll probably be, like, eight years after people stop caring about me, so I will have probably stopped releasing music and I'll just write for myself at home, maybe living on a beach in Hawaii or something." He shrugs. He hasn't given a whole lot of thought to his future yet. Until recently, he wasn't even sure he'd be alive long enough to have one.

"And when you think about your beach house in Hawaii, do you see me there with you?" Dean asks.

"Oh, yeah, definitely," Castiel says without hesitation. "I had just sort of assumed you would be — unless I annoy you too much and you ditch me or something."

"I can assure you, that's not going to happen," Dean says, completely confident in this.

"I wouldn't be so sure," Castiel replies. "Maybe not now, but eventually. You never know."

Dean shakes his head at the boy. "It's not going to happen. I can prove it, if you want."

Castiel scoffs. "Prove it how?"

Dean smiles slightly and reaches into his pocket. He pulls out a small box, but Castiel doesn't process what it is until Dean gets down on one knee and pops the little box open to reveal a ring.

"Will you marry me?"

A/N Ayyyyy I bet none of you saw that coming! It's not like you've been saying it for the last 10 chapters or anything. Y'all should go check out the next book, "Standing Together," and see what Cas says. Also I'm aware that it's a shitty title but I actually never thought of a title for it until now whoops. The first chapter is out now, so go read it. This is @kittyhazelnut signing out.
