The next week
"One way or another, I'm gonna find ya, I'm gonna Misha Misha Misha Misha!"
"What the fuck?" Dean mouths, and Castiel just shakes his head, a grin on his face.
"Door's unlocked!" Castiel calls.
The hotel door opens, and Lucifer jumps into view. "Where's Misha? There's Misha!" He dives onto the floor, lying on his stomach next to the dog, whose tail starts wagging. He licks Lucifer's face, and Lucifer beams. "I love this dog so much, oh my god!"
"I know, he's perfect," Castiel agrees.
"Oh, and hi, Dean," Lucifer adds as an afterthought.
Dean just stands there awkwardly. He likes the dog now, but he doesn't obsess over Misha like the other two, so he didn't join the Misha fandom, but he gives Lucifer a small wave anyway. "Hey, Lucifer. You ready to see Jody?"
"I don't know," he replies carelessly. "It's kinda just like any conversation, really, but shorter and more people to interrupt."
"It's way cooler than just any conversation," Dean protests. "It's Jody Mills!"
"And?"
"And it's Jody Mills! How is that not exciting?"
Lucifer shrugs, which looks weird lying on the floor. "I guess I don't freak out over celebrities like most people do. I mean, Benedict Cumberbatch is another story, but to me, Jody's just another one of my little brother's friends. Big whoop."
"But you love all my friends, so you should be excited," Castiel adds.
"I mean, if I can't ship them, there's really no point," Lucifer replies with s joking grin — though it's unclear how much of that was actually a joke.
Castiel and Dean laugh.
"Well, Jody's cool, so you won't regret it, even if you can't ship her," Castiel assures him.
"I think seeing Misha is enough that I won't regret this." Lucifer gives the dog a hug and half-yells, "I love my doggo!"

It's almost nine that night when Castiel gets a text from Hael. He reluctantly decides to ignore Divergent — which he's forcing Dean and Lucifer to rewatch because he loves it — to see what she wants.
Hael: R u busy next Sat
Castiel inwardly cringes at her text speak.
Castiel: Depends. Why?
Hael: Can u come to my bday party
Hael: And ur siblings I guess idk
Castiel: Hold on, I'll check.
He checks his phone calendar, which he thankfully has up to date with everything he's doing, but with no alarms for it, because it's purely for scheduling purposes. Surprisingly, he has the next three weeks off.
"Lucifer, Hael wants to know if we want to go to her birthday party next Saturday," Castiel tells him.
"Do I look like the kind of person to turn down free cake?"
"Guess not," Castiel replies.
Castiel: Lucifer and I can but you'll have to ask the rest of them yourself. And can I bring a plus one?
He'd at least like the option of bringing Dean along with him.
Hael: K idc but u have to come thx bye
Castiel rolls his eyes. Great. Teenagers these days. He's sure this is a popularity stunt in her eyes, but he doesn't really mind. Hannah's pretty cool, so he wouldn't mind hanging out with her. As long as he shows up, he's sure it's good enough for Hael.
"Hey, Dean, do you want to come?" Castiel asks him.
"I don't know who Hael is."
"That's irrelevant. You still want in?"
Dean shrugs. "Eh. Might as well. I don't have anything else to do with my life."

Dean gives his boyfriend a quick kiss. "Have fun. Both of you," he adds with a glance at Lucifer. "I'll see you in a little bit." He gives them a wave and walks off, so Castiel and Lucifer can go back with Jody, and he can go wait in the audience.
Castiel finds his way through the building with ease, having been here so many times. Lucifer follows behind him awkwardly, having no idea what's going on or where he is. Castiel just wants them to find Jody so he can introduce Lucifer, mostly because he seems sort of on edge, and it might help to see that he's in a friendly environment. Otherwise, he doesn't really know what to do about it. Lucifer's never uncomfortable. He's usually the one making people uncomfortable.
They eventually find Jody, and Castiel gives her a friendly hug. He's basically on her show every other month at this point, because it seems to rack in the views, and they're pretty good friends because of it. Lucifer just gives her an awkward wave.
"Lucifer, nice to finally meet you," she says with a kind smile. "I've heard so much about you."
"And I've heard about as much about you as I have Ellen Degenerous, so take that as you will," he replies.
The three of them chat for a few minutes, and Castiel can't help but notice how Lucifer doesn't seem to be as comfortable here as he is everywhere else. He watches curiously but doesn't question him. He's sure Jody didn't notice because she doesn't know him like Castiel does, so he'll ask later, when they're alone and he doesn't have to raise awareness to the problem.
Until then, Castiel just makes himself at home here at Jody's. It's one of the few places he can really relax — until he's on stage and has to pretend to be the cheerful Castiel Novak he's known for. At least he has Lucifer with him this time. It's hard not to be happy with Satan around.
