Sympathy

Shan was surprised at what I had asked him to do last night but still complied. After he left I also went home not before I gave Mark a goodnight kiss then went on my merry way.

When I got home it was quiet as ever since the kids were with Daniel still and Taco was sleeping in the living room. I was tired so after setting the alarm and putting all weapons back where they came from, I went to sleep in my nice, comfy bed. Then when I woke up this morning to Taco licking my face about an hour before my alarm is normally supposed to go off. I was pretty annoyed.

But I still got up none the less and let Taco run around the fenced backyard so he could do his business while I do mine. After I got ready for school with my wig, glasses and nerd clothes I came to school in my nerd car.

As soon as I get inside the door Shan is there bothering me. Asking me questions about how I've been? What have I done to myself? Cause I aparently did something different with my usual daily prepping.

"Shan" I interrupt his rant.

"Yes?" He looks at me.

"What are you doing," he scratches the back of his neck... not a good sign coming from a boy.

"I was just making sure your alright..." He paused.

"Wait... why did you just pause like there's something else besides asking me if I'm okay?" I accuse, narrowing my eyes at him.

"Well there is something I need to tell you about a certain someone," he bows his head.

"Who is this about?" I ask, crossing my arms.

"Mark... is che-.." Shan was interrupted by Hunter.

"Hey, Hope is Shan bothering you?" I turned around to see Hunter with Tyler next to him.

"Um..no..why?" He shrugged.

"Just wondering since Shan did always bully you," Hunter answered.

"Well, you didn't do anything to stop me so don't act as though you care if I was," Shan scowled and Hunter.

"I didn't want to get involved in your business, it wasn't my place," Hunter shot back.

"Okay so the bell is going to ring soon so I'm just going to go now..." I said interrupting their stare down.

"I'll talk to you later Hope," Shan said, I nodded then walked away to my first class.

While I was walking I bumped into Tiana and since we're at school she has to keep her part in acting like the Queen of Mean and me the Nerd of Nerds. She turns and sees it's me then scowl at me before telling me to watch where I'm going before giving my a subtle wink and walking away in her cheer outfit which reminded me that there's a football game tonight but I never go to them it's usually a waste of time for me.

I got into my first-period class which is advanced ELA with Ms. Crabtree. She is still as always my favorite teacher. She likes to make jokes in class and help everyone to understand the topic which everyone who was every bit of struggling passed her hard class and she gives everyone a schedule on whenever there's a test or quiz.

Hunter walked into class with the twins following him while talking in hushed voices while Hunter looks annoyed. He sits next to me in the back by the window while the guys sit in front of us. Hunter doesn't say anything but when he looks at me he gives me a quick side smile before the bell rings and Ms. Crabtree walks in holding lots of folders with more than a hand full of papers in each.

"Hello everyone I hope you check your schedules because if you did you would know that today is a really big test, and I want everyone to try their best then afterward I want everyone to take one of these books from the box in the corner," she holds up a Shakespeare book.
