Ugh.... FUCK this! I check my phone to see my mom calling..
"Hey mom," I said with a groggy tone
"Hello darling how are you." Your mother says in a cheery yet sad voice
"I am fine and you?" I asked
"Marvelous! Anyways I have some news.. "She said happily and turned into serious
"Really what is it? "I asked getting anxious
"Remember how I said I am coming in a few weeks.." She said
"Yeah..."I said holding out the word a bit
"Turns out... I am coming TOMORROW! "She says excitedly
"WHAT?! REALLY!! HOW!!!" I said sitting up excitedly
"Mummy has here ways.. but anyways the wedding is begin moved up as well.." She said and I could feel her smirking through the phone
"Oh really when the date?" I asked
"December 8." She said in an excited tone.
"Omg! That's days away!" I said smiling and acting like a 5 year old all over again
"Yes... unfortunately ur grandmother is dying and we wanted her to see us get married." She said in a serious yet sadden tone.
"Wait.... gammy is dying?" I asked feeling my heart break into a million pieces (* not as much on how Laf's going to break your heart soon.*{Oops I shouldn't spoil it} )
"Yes.. I am so sorry you had to hear it like this. If anything u can visit her at Lin- colns' hospital"(*see what I did there*) She said
"The one on 62nd street." I said
"Yes dear" She said, could feel her frown and try not to cry on the other side of the phone
"Oh.. okay... I will visit her soon..." I said trying to sound kay even though I wanted to throw my phone across the room and cry
"Yes... I hope you do. I have to go but I will talk to you soon okay?" She said trying to slowly cheer me up
"Okay... I... I... " I said stammering trying to swallow the hard pill that I just got from the news
"I love you too." She said understanding how I felt at the moment
After that I hung up... My heart was broken, the woman who has been through it all..even though she is from my father side.. she was family. She was one of the last grandparent I had left... My dad never had a father, well my grandparents divorced long ago. And He died before I was born. And from my mom side, I only had a grandpa, my grandmother, died from cancer when my mom was about 12 or 13 (* true fact about the author, well my grandma{ the only one I have, is still alive and well.... I think}*)
I just stood there sobbing, crying as tears filled my eyes, it kept pouring and pouring and they didn't stop.
"Hey (Y/n) Is every thing okay? Why you crying?" Thomas said as he enter the room
"A-a-a Family member is dying that's all... I will be fine.." I said trying to lie to myself
"Aw.. baby come here!" Thomas engulfs you in a hug "It's okay, how about you, and the sisters go to visit her and when you come back we can binge watch our favorite show." Thomas suggested
"The sister... left early this morning, they went out of town.. Can you come with me?" I asked
"Baby, I wish I could, but I got to go visit my momma, she's been dying for me to visit." Thomas said still holding me
