Everyone is gone. Everyone. If the military is gone, I should be able to escape.
I make myself around the outside of the base - I was not going back in that place - towards the the only gate to exit the area.
As I approach the gate, my heart sank, on the gate and fence was a giant sign. WARNING: Electrified. And I did not have a pass code to use on the security pad. The power was still clearly on, as shown by the flood lights surrounding the gate. Thats when I remembered, there was a power station on the other side of the zone. It provided electricity for the entire zone, if I could shut that off, I could escape. But that would require crossing zombie infested scrubland. But then again, what did I have to lose?
I begin to make my way to the power station, hoping the rations of water in my rucksack would be enough.
