I couldn't take my eyes of Karla. I never told her, never told her I loved her.
I took the knife from her chest. I don't listen to Gemma's protests.
"I'm sorry for everything, Gemma" I say as I spear the knife into my chest, and fall onto Karla.
I don't die, not initially. I see Gemma run from the staffroom. My vision starts to go hazy.
I hear zombies approaching in the distance. They're here for me. Good. I want them to kill me.
As one of the zombies approach me. I mutter my last words. "I'll be with you soon Karla" then I close my eyes and forget about the world around me. Soon I'd see her again. I'd see Charlie again. I could finally declare my love for Karla.
For the first time in my life. I am Happy.
