It was the second night Skylar was staying. I was sleeping at first untill she mumbled something in her sleep. I couldn't decipher a few words. I listened because I couldn't go to sleep. I also didn't want to wake her up.

"I have an an...., well I figured out who.. it.. was."

"I can't tell... its sort of ...ersonnel, but not really.

"Fine. It's Derek."

My curiosities began to spark up, when I heard my name. She was probably talking to someone in her dream. I was her, what? Anchor? I didn't really know what she had said but it did sound like it. I was her anchor, maybe. Skylar was so different than anyone I'd ever met. Did I have feelings for her? No, I just couldn't. I couldn't let myself, not again. I didn't want to get hurt again. The pain would be unbearable.
