What's going on?

What did he just say?

Should I ignore him?

Or play it another way?

What would she do?

Would she cry-

or scream-

or melt?

Or would she say the obvious-

That she might just love him as well?

Rose's P.O.V

Let me just give you a recap, alright?

Well first, this morning Gage saw a bruise on me from Grandmother Rose's beating, I managed to push away that awkward subject. He still doesn't know, and I don't plan on letting him know.

Afterwards, after me and him went to school, I had a big scare when Kyri basically fainted and I was stupid enough to believe something horrible happened to her. I realized that I know her actual first name (Cassandra) without her telling me, which is obviously a piece of my old memory.

What else? Oh yeah, I ran away from school and into a creepy neighborhood where it started to rain and a huge thunderstorm came. Which gave this guy who lived in this neighborhood an opportunity to try and make me come into his house, which ended up him trying to pull me in.

This, of course, gave another man the opportunity to "save" me from the first guy. Who ended up pointing a gun at me and- once again- forcing me to go with him to who knows where.

And then Gage came in with a freaking shotgun-

I mean, where did he even get one? Does he hide it in the back of his truck or something?? What the hell?

So, Gage is the one who ends up saving me from Lord knows what those men thought of doing.

And how does he greet me?

With a "I love you".

That is where I left off.

And that is where I am starting.

"What?" I asked, freezing up and staring at his green eyes in silent panic.

"I said, 'I love you'." he repeated, his eyebrows furrowed together, which I'm guessing is distress.

What does he want me to say?

Oh my God....

What the hell do I do??

What would the old Rose do??

I don't think I can say it back, of course.

I mean- don't I hate being around him?

Don't I?

Or do I actually like being around him?

I mean, at one point- he is so annoying.
