Why Did I Listen To You?...

I shouldn't have listened to you.
Why didn't you tell me that this would happen!
You told me that you would protect me.
What happened to your word?
You said you'd keep my secrets.
But why are they all over town?
You earned my trust,
But you just lost it.
I was starting to love you,
I guess you lost my love too.
You used to be so sweet
And you looked after me.
Now you carelessly spill words out your mouth,
Not even caring who you hurt.
I'm just glad that I didn't fall in too deep,
Because if I did,
I don't think I'd ever be able to free myself from your unmistakable wit at all.
