I like fantasizing
romanticizing
and testifying
I knew it was me
who stole away
my mind at play
and eventually
locked up the cage
I ran away
but I couldn't stay
I go back to the place
which tears apart me
But if you could stay
I know you'd never leave
and I want to change
but I can't if I play
like I want to stay here
like I won't ever go
like I don't want to travel
what you don't want to know
I think I'd travel often
but not if you let me go
I know my mind is twisted
I think things people couldn't know
So don't let me go
Just hold me close
And if you could know
how I just want to run
I cannot escape
From my mind's place
I know you could stay
Why can't I just stay
I can't get away
from thoughts in my head
No matter where I go
who I know
how it shows
I'm not happy till I am dead
And I know I can't leave
because who would I be
if I gave up the plea
and eventually
I let myself be free
I wouldn't be anybody
I think I'd travel often
but just if you let me go

I think things people shouldn't know
So just let me go
