I ran downstairs, what could she possibly be screaming about? Turns out, Ashley had made another one of his perverted and odd jokes.

"Chill out, I was kidding," Ashley had rolled his eyes, flopping onto the couch.

"It wasn't funny," Carrie mumbled as I tugged her up the carpeted steps. I put my finger to my lips as we neared the sleeping Andy, smirking. I let go of Carrie's arm and stood over him, before falling purposely on top of him.

"Motherfuc- cheezits!!" Andy yelled, jerking awake, "Ew, it's you," he grinned, he was obviously joking.

I dug my elbow into his ribs, causing him to unwillingly apologize before I would start to dig my knee into his stomach. It was like a game we played, he knew exactly what I would do next, and I knew exactly how to make him crack.

Andy sat up and pulled me over his shoulder, then careful got to his feet. "Oh, hey, Carrie right?" He had asked, looking towards my new friend.

"Yeah... nice to meet you," Carrie had smiled shyly.

I kicked my feet, as much as staring at Andy's butt was appealing, I would rather be looking at my friend. I felt Andy wrap one arm around both of my legs, holding them down.

"Kicking isn't very nice," he stated simply.

Carrie covered her mouth, trying not to laugh as Andy slid his own phone out of my back pocket.

"Neither is stealing," Andy had tightened his grip around my legs, "Carrie, can you help me with something?"

I assume she nodded, because the next thing I knew I was being carried back down the stairs and out through the sliding glass doors.

"I hope you can swim," Carrie had commented, just as I was being dumped into the pool. I froze, shocked. It wasn't that I couldn't swim, because I could, it was just freezing. Why was it freezing? It was like 92 degrees outside.

"Who dumped my best friend into the pool?" I could faintly hear an upset voice, clearly trying not to laugh. It was CC. Even under water, I could recognize his voice. I swam up to the top of the pool eagerly, pulling myself out of the water.

Apparently, Jinxx had left this morning to sign CC out and bring him home. He was supposed to come back yesterday, but some complications popped up.

I couldn't help but smile as I hugged his left arm in a death grip. I'd actually hug him, but I didn't want to hurt him.

"Super sorry, welcome home," I mumbled into his shoulder.

"Thanks, sweetheart, and it's alright." CC had smiled softly as he hugged me gently, really not wanting to get all wet. He typically wouldn't care, but I'm guessing it was a struggle for him to change his clothes.

I pushed my dripping wet hair out of my eyes and wiped my streaky makeup off my cheeks. I needed a shower now. I kicked Andy in the shin, not hard, and pulled Carrie back into the house. I made sure to give her an extra long hug first.

"Ew, you're all wet, don't touch meee!" Carrie whined, pushing me off. "Dry off first, then we'll talk."

I gave a slight nod and ran upstairs, wrapping a white towel around myself. I sighed as I began to warm up, it felt like I had jumped into a freezing lake. I proceeded to change my clothes and redo my makeup, switching to my waterproof eyeliner and mascara. Just incase, I told myself.

I heard a soft knock on my door, and then the click that indicated it had been opened. Carrie shuffled in, carrying two lemonade glasses that looked like they could overflow any second.

"From CC," She had stated, setting them on the small desk next to my hammock. I couldn't help but grin, CC's lemonade was always the best. Not too sweet, not too sour.

"Spill any on the floor and you're sleeping in the garage!" Andy yelled, his words echoing up the stairs and through the hall.

I shrugged and sipped my lemonade, almost choking as Carrie flopped onto my hammock, falling off the other end.

"Sh*t," she giggled, "don't die."

"Don't tell me how to live my life," I joked back. My voice was still slightly hoarse, and it stung every time I spoke. It was something that I would have to get over.

"You're just jealous."

"Of?"

"I don't know, I just felt like it was the right thing to say." Carrie grinned, propping her head up on her elbows, "Give me my lemonade."

I rolled my eyes and set her light blue cup on the floor in front of her, popping a straw into the lemonade. I kept a box of stuff I felt could come in handy in my closet. Straws, small bottles of toothpaste, napkins, and baby wipes could all be found.

As she chewed on her straw and stared at my poster of Kellin Quinn, I went downstairs and grabbed my phone and speaker. I paused it, just as the song 'Courtesy Call' by Thousand Foot Krutch came on. I plugged it back in once I was in my room, turning it up three fourths of the way.

"Turn on some Ronnie Radke, baby!" Carrie screamed in an oddly high pitched voice.

I decided against it, just to annoy her. In return, she threw her straw at me. It obviously didn't hurt, it was a straw. I wacked her in the head with my light green turtle pillow anyway, sticking my tongue out.

By the time it was dark outside, we'd managed to trash my room completely. Andy didn't need to know we'd both spilled our lemonade. He always wore his shoes in the house, anyway, and I was hoping he wouldn't notice how sticky it was. I wiped it all up with the white towel from earlier, and I would actually use cleaner on it tomorrow. Thank God for hard wood floors.

Any plan we might've had when Carrie had first arrived went out the door the moment I was thrown into the pool. Oh well.

We decided she would spend the night, since Andy didn't want anyone going anywhere in the downpour outside. He didn't think it was safe.

"Goodnight," I whispered from my bed.

"Sweet dreams," Carrie whispered back from her spot on the hammock. I shut my lamp off, and then all was silent.

A/N: You people better be happy with this update. I checked my stats today, and I decided that if I wanted any new reads or votes that I needed to update.

1042 words. That's huge for me.

Compared to last year, and all of my past updates, I am really happy with this chapter. I feel like I've improved a lot as a writer.

And by the way, I know I always say I'm young, it's because I started this book as a 12 year old. I'm 13 now, woohoo.

Have a nice day/whatever time it is for you.

Edit*: I love Teagan (did I spell that right cuz if I didn't imma jump off my microwave)

Edit**: also that new Sleeping With Sirens album hmm I love it. Also also My Vow by BVB hmm that ended my life with it's perfection.

(Extra extra update, popping in to say hello from 2020 😂. I turned 16 a couple weeks ago, this book is shit. What a ride, y'all. I went through and corrected spelling errors, but that's it. Guys, I wrote this when I was 12 🤦🏼‍♀️ there's nothing I could do to make this better. I'm like ashamed of myself.)
